Hangman had avoided Bria at all costs and something in her heart felt as if it had an empty space.

But despite that they had a job to do. So, Bria sat with Halo as Speed finally filled them in on the details of the mission.

"Here is the moment you all have been so patiently waiting for. We will be simulating the mission today and I will go over the fine details." The projector flickered on and a map showed up on screen.

"You, see the enemy base is here." She circled an area off the edge of Alaska. "Pearl Harbor is here. Out job is to stop the bombers from reaching Hawaii. Our inside intel has told us they are preparing quickly, so that means we have one month or less to perfect this strategy."

Yale raised his hand. "You may ask, what is this strategy?" Yale lowered his hand and Speed continued. "We will require three single flyers and two doubles. We do not know how many other fighter jets there will be but we need to be prepared for anything."

"Now to the actual plan. We will need to fly over the ocean to the base, quietly and undetected. We must be careful to not cross the border into Canada or we will be hearing from the prime minister. We will not be able to stay undetected for long. One single will be sent forward to successfully take down the base and another double will come from behind and assess damage. You will have 2 minutes and 30 seconds to do so. All of the other aviators will need to lure the enemy planes away from the team. Once successful the small team will need to catch up with the others, but still stay on guard there could be enemy planes anywhere. They try and make it back to the boat." Speed gave them the full rundown of the mission.

"We have a simulated version of the flight path, you will be divided and some pilots will go more than once. The ones not chosen at the time will simulate the enemy fighters. Captain Mitchell has kindly offered to help assist me on this training exercise." Speed said and Maverick came into the hangar, the group smiled at their former teacher despite having seen him the day before.

"I'm happy to assist you Speed." He laughed. "Now who have you decided to go first?"

"I want Coyote, Siren, Fritz, Phoenix, Bob, Yale and Harvard. Siren you are team leader, Coyote you are her wingman." She called out her team to simulate the mission. "Rooster, Halo, Hangman and Omaha, you will be the enemy pilots."

Everyone went and got their helmets before getting to their planes. Bria climbed up th ladder and sat in the cockpit as the cover closed over her head. They a cruised their planes to the runway before taking off one by one. Once up in the air they all grouped together for a debrief of the plan one more time.

"Okay, we are ready Speed." Bria told the admiral back on the ground.

"Good, notify us when the timer will start, so we can make sure you stay on time."

"Sounds good, everyone ready to go?" Everyone confirmed they were ready.

Bria lead the group closer to the hard deck, following the instructions on the simulation. Fritz, Phoenix and Bob split off to take out the base. 'Ground control this is Siren, Dagger two and three have split off begin the timer."

Just as she finished two planes swooped over top her, Coyote, Yale and Harvard. "Look alive boys we got company."

She pulled up her plane and the others followed her movements. Halo flew past her trying to get behind her plane, she swerved to the left and dropped underneath Halo's plane. "Oh, that was sneaky." Her friend chuckled and turned her plane to face Bria.
