Solcia POV

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I thought about it. How did I do it that fast? I got up and looked in the mirror. I looked at myself, seeing if the answer lies there. Am I human? I had long, red hair. Nothing un-normal about that. I had brown eyes- nothing different about that either. I wasn't extremely pale nor extremely tan. I was average. My attitude, different, but isn't everybody's?
I stared at myself again, I even went up and touched the mirror, as if it would break when I touched it and my reflection would not be seen. I chuckled a little. Most people would be wondering- 'Oh, why did my dad try to hit me? Is he alright? I'm lucky I did that.' While I'm here wondering if I'm human. I guess I'll just always think differently. Maybe I'm just over-thinking it. If mythical creatures were real, people probably would have found out by now. I can't be the only one in the world who has thought they were real. And if somebody has thought they were real like I think, they would have found out by now. People would start believing more. But if somebody hasn't figured it out yet, it must really not be real. Whatever it is, I guess there will always be a part of me that believes that they are real.
That kid from science, if he is mythical, what could he be? A fairy? Though that would be funny, I don't think he would be. A Goblin? He was very grumpy, but he still was very pale. What about a Witch? To be honest- I don't know what to believe about witches. I highly doubt that they are green with warts and fly around on brooms- but other than that who knows what they could be like. I'd guess they would look human, but the guy from science didn't look really human. I don't think that eye color is from contacts. A merman? He probably wouldn't be on land. A werewolf? Well, he doesn't look like a werewolf, but I guess wolfs could have gold or black eyes, depending on the angle and sunlight. But aren't werewolves supposed to be warm? If they are like dogs, I would think they are. I soon fell asleep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I soon woke up from my dreamless dream with my alarm clock. I looked at my phone. Nobody contacted me yet. When would I tell everybody what happened- and if I decide to tell them. I probably should, but then it was only this one time, and I don't want them to get worried all because of me. After getting dressed and getting my backpack ready, I decided I would tell them. They could tell me what I should do, and maybe I could get all this mythical stuff out of my head.

I stuck my head out the door and listened. I didn't here my dad, so hopefully he already left. I stepped outside and went down the stairs to look out the window. He had already left. I grabed some cereal and quickly finished it up. I then got out and started my walk to school.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When I got to school, I saw my whole group of friends right at the entrance. Willow came up and gave me a hug.
"So how was yesterday?"
"It was actually very interesting. How many minutes until we have to head to class?"
"20" Gabe responded.
"Ok, that gives me enough time to tell you guys. Okay, yesterday when I went home my dad wasn't there. Not only that, but he left the door unlocked. He came home at about 6:30 and screamed at me to make dinner or he would ground me. When I made dinner, He just looked at it and said how horrible my cooking was and told me to grab some food and stay in my room. When I turned around after packing my food, he tried to slap me. I ducked right on time and ran upstairs and ate and then fell asleep."
They all stared at me with surprised faces. Willow was the first to respond.
"You should not go back there! If you need to stay somewhere, you can go to one of our houses. Do you have an idea why he might be angry?"
"If I had an idea, I would have told you by now. He has been acting very weird since mom left. Also, this is the first time he has done this. Maybe it was just an off day for him?"
This time, Hera responded.
"There should never be a first and if there is one then it should be the last."
She did have a very good point. We talked for a few more minutes and soon headed off to class.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Everything went smoothly in Algebra, English, and Spanish. In Spanish, we played my favorite game, matamoscas, and I played pretty well. People were claiming I was- and I quote- 'Some type of wizard who had photographic memory because I didn't even have to look at the board.' It was hysterical!

At lunch, I saw that the group of gold-eyed people were not here. Why would they leave after the first day of school? Lunch passed by fast and I was soon in orchestra.

In orchestra, our assignment was to talk to our stand partner. Our teacher thought we would play better if we knew our classmates better. I turned to mine. She started talking right away.

"Hi. What's your name? Mine is Ko Myth, but you can just call me Ko."

"Hi, My name is Solcia. So how long have you been playing violin?"

"I've been playing for about 7 years. Did you hear what happened the Anthony's?"

"Who are they?" I had a weird feeling I knew what she was talking about.

"There are 3 of them. Hannah has light brown hair, Victor has black hair, and those two are dating. Then there is Mason. He has hazel hair. Don't waste your time with him, apparently he is to good to date anybody at our school. They all wear gold contacts. It's like a family thing. They are all out today, which is weird. Do you know where they may be?"

"No, but I know who you are talking about. Are they usually out a lot?"

"No, except for days that are way to sunny. Luckily we live in a really shady part of Orlando."

They don't really go out in the sun, they have 'contacts', and they are the Anthonys. I now have names for the faces.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A/N Hey! Wow, I'm surprised I got this out today. There is a picture of Gabe btw. So the Anthonys? What are they? One of my friends said Cabe would be a good ship name for Cara and Gabe. What do you think? And what do you think about Ko? And that matamoscas part actually Is a game that we play in my Spanish class and sometimes I really can be awesome at it.
Bye! DFTBA! (Don't forget to be awesome!)
