Solcia POV

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After Mr. Spalding and Cassandra left, I already knew what I wanted to do. No matter how reckless or irresponsible somebody thinks it is, I'm going to practice flying! I mean, I have to practice it sometime. I tried to keep a straight face, and I think I'm doing a good job. I looked at the Anthonys, and Victor had a huge grin plastered on his face, so he was also planning to do something reckless. Another person on team reckless!
"So Sol, what do you want to do first?! Try out potions, try out new spells, look at the labs after you finish reading that one book you need to read?" Victor questioned like a little kid. I wonder how old he actually is.
"Victor, don't be ridiculous! I can't go doing stuff like that! Mr. Spalding said it's dangerous and it might be wise to listen to Mr. Spalding." I scolded in my most serious teacher like tone. It must have worked because he then looked really sad and looked at the floor like he did something wrong.
"Fine." Was all Victor said.
"Now, if you'll excuse me," I started keeping up my responsible act. Victor looked up seeing what I would do.
"I'm going to go and practice flying with these wings! See ya!" I said while running out testing if I could run at a normal vampire speed, and I could. Once I was outside I turned to see all the Anthonys behind me.
"I thought you said we should listen to Mr. Spalding." Victor said, mimicking me.
"I said it would be wise to listen to him. I'm not a very wise person. Anyway, what you were suggesting isn't as crazy as this."
"Exactly, are you sure you should practice this? Your wings are very easy to break." Mason butted in.
"Relax! I've got this. It can't be that hard, right? Victor, I could probably start by just running at human fast pace and jumping in the air right?" I said popping out my wings. They are really big, so lets just hope I can actually control them.
"That should work!" Victor responded happily.
"Okay, Sol, just be careful." Mason responded. He was really worry about me wasn't he? Oh this is going ot be to fun.
"Don't worry Mason, reckless is my middle name!" I said and started taking off. I saw his face before I started running the other way and it was priceless! He wasn't expecting me to say that.
I saw that I have ran a bit so I jumped and flapped my wings. I was in the air! Only by a few feet, but I was still in the air! I was heading up at an upward angle, so I tried going straight up. I went down a foot, but I managed to get it. I just had to flap my wings a little more often. It felt so good to be up in the air with the wind blowing against you! I looked down and say that I could just barely see the Anthonys and if I went up any higher, they wouldn't see me. I dropped a few feet and tried staying in the same place, and that worked out good. Surprisingly, the wings aren't as heavy as they seem. I then practiced going straight in one direction, going faster, slowing down, and stopping. After about 10 minutes, I was able to do all of them to the point I thought was good. I didn't want to go down yet, so I started doing loops. I also practiced spiraling down a few feet, with my wings covering me up all around. It was only a few feet and then I put my wings out and glided upward. It is so nice to fly up in the air! Heights never bothered me. I looked at the Anthonys and decided it was time to come down. However, if I was going to go down, I was going to go down in the most extreme way I could go down. I was about 300 feet in the air, and I think it would be fun to see how Mason would react if I just fell. After all, it's the most reckless way you could go down!
