Solcia POV

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Now that everybody is down, we need to have a family meeting." Jamel said. Everybody sat down. I already had an idea of what we needed to know, but I'll make sure nobody wants to speak first. I then got cut off by Jamel.
"Those people that Mackenzie was talking about were vampires. They are looking for somebody, and they seem like they will do anything to get this person. But if they were vampires, how did they not smell her?" What about the parents?
"Aren't the parents turning into vampires though?" I asked. Hannah looked at me as if I was stupid. Sorry, I'm not vampire! I said sarcastically in my mind
"I don't think they are. When a vampire bites a person or animal, they either clean it of all it's blood and leaves it there dried up, or it leaves some blood and releases its venom into the body, causing the changing to begin. It wouldn't make sense for them to change her parents if they would not help them. I think it's more important to find out why they didn't smell her or if they can. We can smell her."
"Maybe it's something like how Mason can't read my mind. Maybe her scent is blind to some but not to others." I had other stuff to say about her parents being vampires, but I'll hold off a bit. My stomach feeling came back for a second sometime when I was talking.
"That's a good start, but how do you know if powers from other vampires work on you?"
"That's what I was hoping to test out now. Hannah, can you teleport me a few feet?" She looked at me hesitantly and then I saw my surrounding change, and I was a few feet to my left, still on the sofa.
"Well, now we need to know why we can smell her but others can't. But, is it only us or everybody but them?" What if they were something other than vampires? Sol, come on! Do you really want to start bringing up 'what ifs'?! I thought to myself. I guess now was not the time for that. Nobody responded, which meant that nobody knew.
"Mason, do you recognize any of the people?" I asked. My stomach started making those stupid tsunami feelings when he looked at me.
"Do you remember that time in the forest? I think the one who was holding her dad was the same person." Mason responded. If one of those people were after me, then was I the one they were looking for? I looked at everybody in the room, and they were all looking at me. I guess that explains the guy with the belt the other night. But the guy with the belt was human.
"So I guess it's me that they are after. But I don't know her or her parents. Why would they go asking her family? And the guy who chased me with the belt was human. If he was a vampire, he could have just ran at me vampire speed."
"Maybe they are purposely having humans help them? So you wouldn't know that it was vampires after you?" Mason said.
"Why might they want me to not know they are vampires? It would only give them and advantage, thinking that they would assume I would be scared. It wouldn't actually give them an advantage, but they would think so. Maybe they are trying to get humans to get me so it would supposedly be a big surprise for me to see them as vampires?"
"That's a very good point." Jamel said. It looked like he was thinking.
"What could they possibly want from me though? I would be able to tell if somebody I knew was a vampire because something would be off about them, and I haven't met anybody who was different other than you guys." I said. What would these people possibly want from me? How did they even know me. I wish we had more time off school so we could think about this. I can't believe it is only Wednesday in the second week of school. Monday Mason came back and after school I hung out with my friends. I also spend most of Tuesday with my friends and when I went to sleep, the guy with the belt attacked me. And now, it is today, Wednesday. Everything happened so fast and today seems to drag on.
