Solcia POV
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Willow said tomorrow will be fine to come over." I told Mason.
"Okay. Let me know what time and I can drop you of at her house."
Then, Hannah, Victor, and Alicia came in with Jamel.
"Hi. How was hunting and work?" I asked. What else am I supposed to say for a greeting?
"Everything is good. I have this week off." Jamel responded. I nodded so he knew I was listening.
"I beat Hannah in a competition!" Of course, that was Victor.
"No you didn't. I wasn't even playing." Hannah responded. I just looked at them.
"Yes you were! Don't be a sour loser. Oh, you guys don't know what the competition was. It was a race between me and Hannah who could run from point A to point B first. I ran faster and had better strategy." Victor happily said.
"Okay, whatever." Hannah said with a sigh of defeat.
We all stopped what we were doing when we heard a knock on the door.
"A little girl I think." Mason whispered. I could barely make out what he said. Jamel went to open the door. We all just listened.
"Hello. Can I please come in?" It sounded like a little girl, probably 9 or 10.
"Sure. What brought you here?" As if on cue, we all moved into the living room. I left the middle chair empty for her and sat in the sofa next to Hannah and Victor. Then a little girl, 9 or 10, with long blonde hair and bright blue eyes came in, looking like she was about to cry.
"Here, sit wherever you want. Would you like to tell us what's wrong?" Jamel said to her. She looked up at us and started silently crying. I didn't like seeing kids like this, so I went to sit next to her and hugged her. She hugged back tightly.
"My parents. . . Something happened." She said between sobs. I kept holding her.
"Shhh. It's alright. I'm sure everything will work out." I tried to clam her down. She did calm down a bit when I said that.
"Me and my parents came into a new house a few weeks ago. My parents have been acting a bit weird, but I never asked them." She sobbed a bit but then continued.
"Today, they came home and were really worried. I asked them what was wrong but they said nothing. Then, 3 people came in." She cried really hard. I looked at Mason, and looked at her very sympathetically. He must already know what happened.
"There was this one woman, she had brown hair. She went up to my mommy and pushed her up against a wall. Then this guy with black hair pushed my daddy up to the wall to. The other guy was standing back, telling them to wait. They didn't see me." She took a quick break and continued.
"The people were very pale. They had red eyes. It was really scary. The guy in charge, I think his name was Gallen, told the other 2 people not to do anything yet. He started yelling at them. My mommy tried to talked, but the woman holding her punched her in the jaw. She screamed so loud. My daddy was reaching for her, but then the guy holding him went up to his face and whispered something. I couldn't here what he said." If these people were vampires, then how did they not know she was there?
"Gallen then yelled 'Were is she?' my daddy said 'We will never give her up.' I don't know who they are talking about. If it was me, they would have probably searched the house then and there, and they didn't. Gallen got really mad, and he screamed for his people to snack. I don't know what that means, but then the people leaned to their necks. My mommy and daddy screamed. The people soon left. I went up to them. They were lying on the floor, screaming. I went up to my mommy, and she said to run. So that's what I did. I followed the road I don't see many people on, and I ran. I stopped a lot though. I got really tired really fast." Her parents got bit. There was 3 vampires in the area, looking for somebody. The werewolves. So many things were buzzing around in my mind.
"Don't worry, it'll get better. What's your name?" Alicia asked.
"Mackenzie." The little girl responded.
"Okay Mackenzie, do you want to sleep?" I looked at the time. It was 7:00. She might be tired.
"Yes please."
"Mason, Sol, can you show her to the guest room?" Alicia asked.
"Sure." I responded. I stood up and took the little girl's hand. Mason stood up too and took the lead. I didn't know where she was supposed to stay.
"So is that your name? Sol?" She asked.
"My full name is Solcia, but people call me Sol. And that is Mason." I said, pointing at Mason. The stomach feelings came back again.
"You have a very pretty name." Mackenzie is just to cute!
"Not as pretty as yours." I said to her. She smiled when I said that.
At the top of the staircase, Mason went to the room to the left of mine.
"Here is your room Mackenzie. If you need anything, Sol's room is the first room to the right coming out of you room and my room is the second room on the right." Mason said, giving her a reassuring smile. She smiled back and gasped when she saw the room.
"It's so big!" She said happily. She ran up and jumped onto the bed.
"I'm glad you like it. Sweet dreams." Mason said. She smiled happily.
"Thanks, do you have any pajamas?" When I heard her say that, I went to my room and grabbed something that would best fit her as a pajama. I found one and came back in her room.
"Here you go. Sweet dreams."
"Thanks! Sweet dreams to you to!" I turned around and saw Mason silently chuckling a bit. We went down stairs and Jamel was starting to say something.
"Now that everybody is down, we need to have a family meeting."
