"Enough games! I did your little fetch quest and I'm done playing around." Lucy closed her eyes as darkness swirled over her body. A pair of red eyes flashed with shadows leaving an afterimage of her behind. Once she closed in on Senovisa, a barrier of sand separated her from Ignis and Lilith.
"Oh, I was hoping for this moment. It's finally come down to this." Senovisa removed his cloak and tossed it into the sand where it evaporated. "No one can get past this until I'm no longer breathing. Samael gave me some of his decay which is ten times more potent than Lucius's." He held both arms above his waist and inhaled.
Ignis scowled at him from the other side. "Damn, he was waiting for this. Looks like we have to wait out here until they finish."
Lilith glanced over at the other demons. "That may not be the case. These demons smell different compared to the typical ones." She frowned as a group approached the barrier.
"There's the fallen angel! She's the one who killed Leviathan." A demon snarled. "I'm going to kill that bitch for Lucifer's honor!" He charged into the barrier before it threw him back. His body instantly crumbled into dust as the wind carried it away. The other demons backed away before they noticed Lilith.
"And the traitor's here with her. She ain't in that barrier so we can deal with the demon first!" One demon yelled.
Ignis soon ignited with hellfire and created a flame katana. "I didn't like to wait anyway. Think we can handle these fancy soldiers?"
Lilith stood beside him with hellfire yo-yos. "I'm not sure but we're about to find out!" She rushed toward the group with Ignis.
While the two fought, a shock wave emitted from inside the sand barrier. Lucy struck Senovisa in the face, her knuckles cracked when darkness pushed him into the barrier. He stood there with half his face outside before a laugh followed. Senovisa stood up unharmed as he dusted himself off.
"Is that the best you got? Act like you actually want to kill me or else the deal is off." He scoffed.
Lucy's eyes flashed with a bright red when she disappeared. Several tendrils of darkness pierced through his arms and legs. They pinned him to the ground before she held a finger toward his chest. A beam of darkness penetrated his chest and exploded. Before he fell to the ground, Lucy grabbed him and swung his face against the bloody sidewalk. He skidded across the heated stone when she reappeared in front of him with a kick to the face.
"How's that for acting? Do I need to step it up for you?" Lucy huffed as she shook her bloody fist. The shadows gathered into it when purple static surrounded her arm.
I didn't realize that me being this angry would result in different dark powers. Lucy inhaled. Whatever works, I have to put him down for good...
Senovisa slowly picked himself off the ground. He spat blood to the side and adjusted his shirt when he stood up. An image of a skull flashed in his head and he winced. The surrounding area grew dark when a tear in space manifested above him. Death crawled out of it with chains rattling from his ankles and wrists.
"What are you doing here? I had this under control." Senovisa replied with a furrowed brow.
Death laughed at him. "Oh, shut it. I came here to watch your final hour. This is what you wanted, right? To die by her hands as the visions foresaw."
Senovisa lowered his head and sighed. "Correct. If you want to motivate her more then do your thing."
"Ugh, death! Give me my friend's soul back and my parents, too!" Lucy growled at him.
"You heard Senovisa about the deal. If you can't kill him then you're not getting the souls." Death replied. "That'd be troublesome now would it?" He reached into his cloak and retrieved a set of three orbs. A bright flash enveloped him when three figures emerged. Talai, along with Lux, and Clara floated above him. Lucy's eyes widened as tears swelled up.
