A wall of hellfire rose beyond the city and grabbed everyone's attention. Lucina stood in front of the wall when two demons rose out of the ground. Jemuo and Dinavye joined with Sangmoni while their bodies ignited with flames.
"Five demons think they can take me on? I destroyed hundreds of thousands of demon armies. The flesh and blood they spilled could fill an entire ocean!" Lucina extended both arms out. Dark hellfire radiated with extreme heat and swirled over her.
"Ignis mentioned this angel would be quite strong. I can feel how hot her hellfire is, way stronger than a devil even." Sangmoni exhaled.
Outside the walls of hellfire, Hanna reached the edge as sweat rolled down his face. "Whew, I don't think we can get past this thing. There's too much heat and fire to press through." He picked up a rock and tossed it to the wall. It was destroyed instantly as particles of ash flew back.
Gwen stepped toward the wall with nine tails. She winced and stepped back. "Ugh, I hate to say this but my nine tails can't power through this either. It's like we're standing by a star."
"Then what do we do? I can't rush in without getting badly burned." Skylar kicked at the ground with a glare.
"I'm in the same boat and I bet Yuno is too." Ember crossed her arms. "Our squad has no tools to combat the flames."
Yuno growled in response. "It sucks, I bet she's doing this to stall. Lucina knows that the military is up to something."
Sio held a hand to his head and chuckled. "Our group may not be able to do much but Lucy's team should!"
"Considering how much mental strain I used for that bridge, I rather wait for something urgent to think of." Princess hid her hands behind her back. She blushed and pulled on a strand of hair.
"That's fine, I bet trying to get rid of these flames would be way too much," Psy replied.
Cheyanne stared over at her servants. "I doubt we could use my undead servants to go through. They'd get cooked like barbecue if they tried." She rubbed at her head. "Water magic wouldn't work so I can't go in. Tex or Talai can't either if I'm assuming correctly."
Yori quickly clenched both hands. "I can try to lightspeed if that's a good suggestion?"
"It could work but I don't want you to exert yourself, sister. We need to be prepared for the fusion option." Lucy responded with a grin.
"Ahem, I hate to barge in with another idea but as a demon, we are resistant to fire. That includes hellfire." Ignis chuckled. "If Yori used lightspeed to make winds, that could make them stronger. I can go in and help my friends distract her."
Lilith stepped up to him. "I-I'm going too! That way we have more demons and I can withstand hellfire of any kind." She smiled at Lucy and narrowed her eyes. "As Leviathan's daughter, I can do it."
Lucy held a thumb up to them. "Do what you have to, we'll be waiting for that wall to go down. And when it does, I'm jumping in to fight with you."
The two flashed a toothy grin and sprinted to the wall of hellfire. They jumped into the flames and spotted Lucina standing before them. Pax and Vita glanced over at Ignis with wide grins.
"Lord Ignis!" They both exclaimed.
"Sorry for the wait, we weren't expecting a wall between us." Ignis laughed to himself. "It's been a while, you two."
Pax bowed to him and forced Vita to do the same. "Our blades are as sharp as ever. Together we'll assist in cutting down this barbaric and racist angel."
Vita eyed Lilith and raised an eyebrow. "And who this with you, sir? She doesn't look like anyone we would know."
"Oh, this is Lilith. She came from the main realm of Hell with us to help." Ignis waved to her. "These two were my mother's servants, Pax and Vita."
