Chapter 15: Ripples

Spades's citadel landed beside the Nexus ship and dust clouds blew into the group. The door slowly slid open and a group stepped out on a flight of stairs. Spades led the group with Luna, Ruby, and Sai on his left. Reine, along with Azrael, Bane, and Wall emerged on his right as they scanned over the area.

"This is the place, right? I thought Heaven would look more pretty or something." Luna sniffed at the air when her ears perked up. "Wait, I smell someone here who has a bloodlust."

Yuno suddenly tackled her to the ground with a grin. "It's about time you got here! I wanted to play with you before all this chaos began." She giggled.

Luna ruffled her hair and chuckled. "Yeah, we had to recover some after our time with those dang angels."

"The time we spent coming here we spent training. So those bastards better get ready for us." Wall said with a grin.

"Well, they are already dealt with. The leader is still around but he's not the problem anymore." Talai chuckled.

Wall blinked at him. "Dammit, so who is the threat? They must be stronger than those angels so who are they?"

Bane placed a hand over his shoulder and pointed to Lucina. "My best bet is her since she's not part of the group. Is my guess, correct?" He eyed Ignis with a smirk.

"Yeah, she's the threat. A huge one and I'm not sure if there will be a chance to stop her." Ignis responded.

"Only one way to find out, Ignis. We have been training for a long time since we last met. This person will face the overwhelming power of our group!" Bane exclaimed.

"Not trying to downplay your power but this is serious. She just took down Lucifer and absorbed his power." Ignis crossed his arms and frowned.

Azrael stepped forward and faced the group. "The angels were bested by her? Then where is the leader at? I must speak with him."

Sio shook his head. "I doubt he would speak with anyone of us at this point. See that huge guy up there? That's the Creator and he's buddies with him." He clenched his fists and sparks flew out.

"I see. Then maybe the Creator will listen to the actual death angel once I dispose of Samael." Azrael soon folded his wings and fixed his hair bangs to the right side.

"Good luck with that then, angel. I would ask how fast this ship goes but Lucina may blow it up within seconds." Gwen replied, her ears wiggled, and she smirked.

Ruby stood beside Azrael as she stretched her threads out. "My, she must be a hassle then if she can do that."

"Yeah, well I'm not lying when I say she literally destroyed some city-sized areas above us." Gwen pointed to the sky above them.

"I didn't say you were lying but shit!" Ruby soon glanced up at the sky with widened eyes.

Sai stepped off onto the ground when she noticed blood. "There's no telling how many people died here. It must be in the thousands by this much blood." She flipped her hair to the side and brushed her dress.

Hanna bowed his head and nodded. "Yes, but possibly more given all the angels and demons who died, too."

"This darling also reminds me of Lucy but way different. Her aura is so strange like a combination of several others." Sai focused on Lucina and placed a finger on her chin. Her eyes met Lucina's when a chill ran down her neck.

"Heh, so you must be the others. You all look similar to Clover's group and this masked man must be the leader." Lucina grinned. "I won't destroy your ship just yet because I want to see how many strong people I can take down." She hovered in the air and crossed her arms while laughing.
