The Truth about Will

Chapter 3 - Research

It was dark in Jamie's room now. The lights were already turned off and the owner of the said room was laying down on his side on the bed. It was one of those nights wherein Jamie would start researching about what in the world Will is. He did this countless of times already, (Actually, this was the fifteenth time.) and up until now he still couldn't find the right creature to categorize Will in.

He decided to do one of his supernatural researches again. He typed the first supernatural creature he could think off.

Vampire.

Okay, Jamie admits that Will was hot and all but he was definitely not that hot. He quickly deleted the seven lettered word and thought of another supernatural creature.

Poltergeist.

He heard that a remake of the movie with the same name was about to be released but he didn't care about the film. He specifically cared only about the supernatural thing in the film. He began to read the text that had come up on his phone's browser.

Will could be sometimes naughty and annoying but Jamie was sure that he wasn't even a tad close to being a poltergeist. Jamie scrolled down on his phone's screen until he got to see the page filled with related searches. He clicked on the word that he had already researched for almost five years now. He clicked on 'Ghost'.

'In traditional belief and fiction, a ghost is the soul or spirit of a dead person or animal that can appear, in visible form or other manifestation, to the living. Jamie must've been sick of reading a material he had read a few times before because he was still feeling very dissatisfied about how much he had been able to discover. He was even thinking of clicking on 'Deity' but he immediately stopped the thought of doing so because Will was definitely not a very holy person so how could he even be a godly entity? He decided to just look at the other words on the related searches bar until he finally clicked on a word.

Incubus.

Dozens of results appeared below Google's search box. Jamie didn't hesitate to click the second result on the list (The first one was pertaining to the band.) and his phone browser suddenly changed to the Wikipedia website.

"An incubus," Jamie started to read out loud. "is a demon in male form who, according to mythological and legendary traditions, lies upon sleepers, especially women, in order to engage in sexual activity with them. Its female counterpart is the succubus. An incubus may pursue sexual relations with a woman in order to father a child, as in the legend of Merlin. Religious tradition holds that repeated sexual activity with an incubus or succubus may result in the deterioration of health, or even death."

Jamie suddenly felt an arm around his waist. A cold hand was also making its way down under his shirt. Jamie was about to shiver when he commanded his own brain that he shouldn't because he should've been able to be used to that level of coldness by now. He felt an equally cold breath on his bare neck. He didn't need to look behind his shoulder to know that it was Will. He held his phone tighter.

"So that means that I am definitely not an incubus."

"You think?"

Will let out a snort which made it seem as if he had felt like he had been disrespected.

"Of course I'm not! First of all, I am clearly not a demon. Second, I don't just lay beside you when you're asleep to engage in sexual activities with you. Thir-

"You lay beside me even when I'm sleeping? That so adorable!" Jamie teased. This time he even took the time to sneak a peek at Will behind him. He smirked at the older boy. The latter chose to feign ignorance. He looked at Jamie for three full seconds before speaking up again.

"And third, even though we already fúcked several times, you're still fully alive and well without any kind of disease or whatever."

Jamie sighed.

"Okay. Then I guess incubus should be crossed out of the list then."

"Exactly."

The light on Jamie's phone started to slowly dim until the only light on the room finally disappeared. Jamie felt his friend tightening his hold on him and in return he scooted closer to the older boy. He could feel the cold presence of Will behind him and even though most people might find the cold that Will's body was emitting a bit intolerable, Jamie couldn't help but feel completely comfortable in his friend's arms. Maybe the thought and the feeling of security in his friend's arms also helped him forget the unbearable feeling that would be the norm for most people. He was about to close his eyes and just enjoy falling asleep in Will's arms when a lightbulb suddenly light up in his mind.

"WILL, MAYBE YOU'RE NOT MALE! MAYBE YOU'RE A SUCCUBUS!"

"Oh for fúck's sake."
