Jamie finally found an empty spot in the school parking lot. He sighed in relief and turned off his ignition, putting his car keys in his pocket. He reached for his bag on the passenger seat and slung it on his shoulders. He opened the door and stepped inside Zanchif Academy.
Zanchif Academy is famous world wide for being a very prestigious academic institution. It has a high reputation for only accepting elite students. The best of the best could definitely be seen walking around the academy's high class facilities. In other words, for you to be accepted into Zanchif Academy you either have to be a part of a really rich and influential family or just really really really smart and talented. Fortunately for Jamie, he was both.
Pamela Kelle Perkins, Jamie's mom, is a very talented singer and dancer. She spent most of her youth as a vocal coach to the stars but now only does it on rare occasion. The only exception is if a singer oozes talent and catches her eye. Now, she spends most of her time as a ballerina. She's either starring on Broadway or coaching young and undiscovered gems while her husband Dean Perkins, Jamie's dad, is a film director in Hollywood who mainly focuses on films categorized as science fiction or drama. Dean isn't really the type of guy who would want to direct a comedy film. He doesn't really have a good sense of humor. He's a nice and loving father to Jamie though. It's one of the great things about him.
And that is why Jamie got into Zanchif Academy. His parents were rich and fairly popular in addition to him having a talent for writing and basketball which most of his friends find weird because most basketball players dig video games, eating, and partying rather than sitting in front of a table in a room to write made up stories about made up people. I guess Jamie just isn't like most basketball players.
"Jamie!"
The said young man looked around for a person that might've been the one who had yelled out his name. When he failed, he shrugged and continued to walk on until he heard the loud voice again.
"Jamie! Up here bro!"
He looked up at the side of one of the buildings at Zanchif and saw his cousin Daniel poking his head out from one of the windows.
"What is it!" Jamie yelled back at him.
"Just come here! I need you to meet some people!"
Jamie looked down at the watch on his wrist and saw that he still had plenty of time before his first class started. He looked back up to make sure that he knew the room he would be going to. It was one of the sophomore rooms.
"Okay! I'll be there in ten!"
When Jamie saw Daniel's short nod, he began to walk to the building where his cousin was.
