Chapter 14; Kamren
The first thing I realized while I was waking up, was that I really needed to change my ring tone. Who ever was calling me obviously didn't care about me getting my sleep, and that annoyed me even more. I shifted on the bed, the blankets falling down and letting the cool air hit my bare back. Oh yeah, I forgot I was naked. Jay's arm was draped over my waist, holding me on the bed with an iron grip.
I managed to reach my phone on the floor. I picked it up instantly, wanting the stupid song to stop playing. It was that song about diamonds by Rihanna. Audrey bought it and set it to make sure I got up in the morning, but I didn't know she set it as my ring tone too. I hate that song.
Alayna was the one on the phone, telling Danny that she loved him-gag me. Then talking about homecoming which I completely forgot about. Of course, Jay was still fast asleep as I yelled at him to get up at least five times.
"Jay! Come on, please get up." I mumbled, lifting up his arm and pulling myself closer to his body.
"Ten more minutes." He mumbled, snuggling closer to me.
"No, now. It's important." I reasoned with him. His bright blue eyes popped open to look at me.
"What is it? What's the matter?" He asked, sitting up, the blanket falling down to his waist, just as it did on me. I smiled at him, remembering last night.
"It's homecoming! We have to get ready." I squealed with excitement.
Normally, I wouldn't be excited for this type of thing. Where you have to dress up and look pretty, with the shoes, the nails, the hair. Especially the dress. It was like the most important thing. And it would be super awkward if someone was wearing the same dress as you. But, it was a masquerade, with masks, and floor length dresses-if you wanted. And it was so exciting.
Jay looked at me, clearly skeptical. "I didn't really think you were into dances."
"I'm not. But it's a masquerade and-Oh my gosh! I need a dress. And a mask. So do you. It has to be red. I look nice in red. We have like three and a half hours." I ripped the blanket off of us, shivering in the cool air. Jay eyed my naked-self. Oh well. I got off the bed, and faltered in my steps, remembering that my leg was injured. I winced but walked through it. Jay didn't notice my face, he was stretching. "I'm getting in the shower. Then you will get in the shower after me."
"Why don't we just shower together?" He asked, following me to the bathroom.
I held up my hand at the bathroom door. "Because, your body is too much of a distraction." He smirked at that and went to say something, but I closed the door in his face. He just needs to learn to listen to what I say.
I took a quick hot shower, realized that the towels weren't in there and sighed. We really didn't have time for a repeat of last night. Speaking of, I was a little sore. I blushed at the thought and sped around his room, grabbing a towel and quickly drying myself, then helping myself to his closet where I grabbed an over sized t-shirt and a pair of boxers from his dresser.
"Slow down, Kam." Jay grabbed me around the waist as I brushed through my curly hair roughly in an attempt to rush.
"Where's Jenny?" I mumbled to myself. What the hell was I going to wear? I needed something, anything. I could alter it to fit my liking. Jay sighed and let me go, but took the brush away from me so I wouldn't hurt myself.
I opened the door to Jay's room, my head peeking out. Then I opened it all the way and talked to the first person I saw.
"Hey, um.-" I stopped when the guy bowed. "Please don't do that." I was surprised. "I need to speak with Jenny. Could you find her for me and send her here?" I ask politely, cracking my knuckles out of nervousness.
