A/N- Hello my Hotties! How are you all doing?

I'm just going to ignore the fact I have had this completed for four days now and completely forgot to post it lol. I am so excited about this chapter just because we are gonna see...well...you'll figure it out for yourself.

Again, I have a playlist for this story so if you have any songs you feel go well with this (and I mean any) please leave them because it gets me so motivated to write when I listen to music that reminds me of the story or characters.

Anywho, without further ado....here is chapter 12

"Just yesterday you where running around here in diapers and beating Foggy up."

"For the last time, I am not wearing the dress."

Holly shook her head, smiling into the phone as she rushed around her apartment in desperate attempts to find the heels she wore ever so rarely. It wasn't a shock when she found them in the same place she left them the night of New Year next to her front door, collecting dust on the white material.

Claire's voice hardened, "Your hot, and your now twenty-five. It's time you start showing off that body of yours."

"And I do show off my body." She lied, plopping down on her couch as she clutched her phone between her shoulder and ear while she slipped her heels on. "Just not at a birthday party that involves my entire family including my brothers and little cousins. You know how my mom gets. The second I wear spaghetti straps I might as well put myself on the market as a prostitute."

Claire rolled her eyes, and Holly could practically hear her disappointed sigh. "Fine, if not the sexy dress then what dress are you wearing?"

"The blush silk one I wore on that date a few weeks back." Holly stood, walking to her room as she gave herself a look in the mirror, turning around and keeping her eyes on herself to get a good look everywhere. "You know, with the guy you set me up with who never showed up?"

Claire snarked at her passive-aggressive tone. "He said he had a family emergency."

"Bullshit," Holly said into the phone, leaning crossing her free arm over her chest as she twirled a piece of her hair between her fingers. "We both know that is just an excuse for I'm not really up to go on a date with anyone unless they're just into one-night stands-" A knock appeared on Holly's door as her head turned in that direction. "Somebody's at my door so I gotta go. I'll see you at the party, okay?"

"Fine. Wear the hot dress!" Claire said. Before Holly could even cut through, her voice was stopped by the sound of the call ending.

Holly placed her phone down on the table next to her, just as another knock appeared. "I'm coming, I'm coming!" She called out as she attempted to run in heels-something she was anything but good at.

As Holly looked through the peephole, she could see Matt dressed in a white button-up and black trousers, holding a sage green gift bag in his left hand.

Within seconds, Holly had a large smile grow on her face as she went to unlock all six locks that were on her door. It was a safety precaution Foggy had made ever since the night at the hospital, hoping that if The Devil of Hell's Kitchen was to come after her, a couple of deadbolt locks could keep her safe. Yet, here she was, opening the door to him with the widest smile she could wear without looking like a creep.
