A/N- Currently posting this from my desk at work because why the hell not.
This chapter is gonna be exciting. We get some insight at Matt and Holly hiding their relationship around her family, along with some more adorable scenes between Hotty. And something that is a bit...well...you'll see.
I was gonna wait to post this but I couldn't. This chapter gets me so excited and I couldn't withhold this from you guys any longer. The good news is, I was able to edit and revise this so cheers to me actually doing my job as a writer. I don't know what got into me but I managed to write 6,000 words in the span of a day and a half.
Enough with my rant. I just recommend listening to 'Sweet Nothings' by Taylor Swift, especially as you get further towards the end. You'll see :)
Anywho, enjoy this chapter, Hotties!

"I don't need to see you to know you look beautiful. I think you're beautiful every minute of the day, no matter the occasion."

Living in New York is both a wonderful experience and a pain in the ass. Mainly a pain in the ass, but for the sake of Holly remaining buoyant, she always acted like it was the foremost place in the world. Plus, people seemed to find it cool when she would tell them she was from New York. Her friend Wanda lived in a small town--something Holly wasn't the biggest fan of. Small towns were never her thing, mainly because she hated feeling everyone's eyes on her. Yet, moving there was Wanda's choice. She didn't have to move but she did for....well...Holly didn't know why, but she seemed to like it so she didn't ask many questions.
Back to Holly not being a fan of New York, she mainly loathed it because of the people. People in New York had one of two attitudes. One being they were optimistic, and happy, thinking of New York as the city of dreams. They were usually people who were born in different states. Then, there was attitude number two. Attitude number two hated New York. They didn't have patience, nor did they give a shit about other people who lived in the city. Frankly, Holly felt that those types of people purposefully made life hard for those around them just to get a reaction.
So, as Holly speaks to a man on the other line of her phone, she feels that attitude number two spirit radiating from the other person's voice.
"No, no, no, no-" Holly shook her head as one hand pressed the phone to her ear while the other motioned at her brother and father, guiding them across the floor as they held a large table between them. "I said I needed that by today. It's my brother's birthday and I-" She paused, taking a deep sigh. She knew she wouldn't win this argument, but she could at least compromise with the guy. "Yes that's fine, I can have my brother pick it up. But I would just need it in the next hour." She ran her hand through her hair, "Okay, thank you."
Holly hung up just as her brother sauntered away from the table, edging closer to her by the second. Theo furrowed his brows as he crossed his arms over his chest.
