A/N- Oh I know you all are dying at the gif.

Why hello my Hotties! How are you all? Today's chapter has taken me forever to write because when I went to go put it into Grammarly to check everything, instead of copy and pasting, it just deleted everything. So yeah, long story short, I have been rewriting this chapter for the past three days and I am just so happy about that.

There really isn't much I gotta say besides this one is over 6000 words... so without further ado, let's get this party started.

Chapter 13

"Because I belong with you, and only you."

Matt ever so rarely remembered his dreams. Maybe it was because he didn't sleep long enough to have a dream, or the imaginative side of his brain was completely shot, but either way, he never questioned it.

Oddly enough, it seemed the night before had provided him with a dream. Not just any dream though, one that was vivid. This dream was more realistic than he ever had conjured before. He felt as if every detail was in his touch. Realistic and beautiful. He dreamt of their life. Holly and Matt's future.

Holly was sitting on the kitchen counter wearing one of his shirts as she sipped from a mug that was letting out small steam swirls out of the top of the liquid. The morning light of a winter day shone onto her face, creating a white haze over her muddy-green eyes as she peered over in his direction with a smile that lit up the room even more.

Soft music played from a spinning record in the corner. The room smelt like coffee and maple syrup as Holly jumped down from the counter, facing Matt with the sweet honey smile she usually wore. Every aspect of this dream kept getting better and better for him as her hands found his collar, pulling him closer to her as their lips crashed together. Warmth spread to his chest, expanding it to a new extreme as his hands wrapped around her body, pulling her closer.

But, as Holly pulled back, the sweet like sugar smile that she wore faded. Instead, it was replaced with something hurtful. A look of betrayal. The light from outside became dim as the record hit its endpoint, letting out an 'oomph' as the needle pressed down to the middle of the vinyl.

Before Matt could say anything, the sound of a voice appeared from behind him. Albeit, this voice was new, he knew exactly who it was. A form of familiarity lingered in the air.

"Do you think you can keep her safe?" Wilson Fisk questioned. Matt turned back, watching as Holly stood next to Fisk wearing the same look of betrayal on her face that she wore just moments ago. "Just like your mother and your father, you will push her away. You will get her killed."

"Your not real," Matt said calmly, despite the fact his heart was beating at a rapid speed.

"Then why are you scared, Matthew?" Fisk questioned, placing his hand on Holly's shoulder as he moved her in front of him. Fisk pulled a knife from his coat pocket, flicking the needle up as he pressed it to the skin of Holly's neck.
