Another day passes by and Darius is scoping out the area.
I'm currently sitting by kenj, who's throwing rocks at the tree Yasmina is sat by.
Darius comes down and glances my way before he hears Sammy.
"Good news?" Sammy asks
"The pteranodons are nesting on the eastern mountains, so that's out." Darius says
"Ugh! Bad news" Sammy says
"So, we can't stay on main street because dinosaurs. The mountains, grasslands, and jungle are out because dinosaurs." Brooklynn says
"And kenji's penthouse is out because he's bad at math" Yasmina says
I giggle a little.
"I didn't think my dad was serious about changing the locks if I failed algebra that is not my fault" Kenji says
"That's actually completely your fault" Yasmina says
"Okay, well, whatever. The whole island is full of dinosaurs. We're cooked" Kenji says
"We can't give up yet, we set off the emergency beacon, we just need to find somewhere safe to hold up until the rescue arrives." Sammy says
"Where? It's been days, we're out of options" Yasmina says
"Actually, there's one place we haven't tried, but not entirely sure you're gonna like it" Darius says
"Are you serious? Didn't we specifically run away from here?" Kenji says
"Just hear him out kenj" I say
"There's a stream for fresh water. We've got tree and mountains to protect us from worst of weather and dinosaur attacks" Darius says
Brooklyn clears her throat as if disagreeing with him.
"Okay, not all dinosaur attacks. But if you were coming to rescue a bunch of campers, wouldn't camp be the first place you looked? And we've even got supples to build a shelter right here. They're, uh, broken supples, but we could do it! Right Brooklynn!" Darius says
"What?" Brooklynn responds
"I mean, you must've made one video about building a shelter, right?" Darius asks
"Right. All you do is videos" Kenji says
"I think what he means to say is Brooklynn, you have a lot of experience in all kinds of areas so I'm sure with your expertise, making a shelter will go better thanks to you" I say with a smile as I give her a side hug.
"Well, when you put it that way yes, okay, I did help raise that barn for unboxing Amish country. Just saying" Brooklyn says
"Knew it" Yasmina says
"Oh, I love that one" Sammy says
"Yay" I say
"There u go" Kenji says
"What are we waiting for? Let's clear that stuff?." Yasmina says while walking but we all know
She's in pain
"Hey, yaz, maybe it's best if you sat this one out?" Darius says
"What? No, Im totally—" Yasmina says
Im quick to act and catch Yasmina before she falls.
"You okay" I say to Yasmina
