CHAPTER TWENTY ONE : 'school trip'

"Good morning class, as you know in two days we are going on a school trip. Everyone has paid except one, Chae-Young is everything okay? Remember you don't have to go!"

Chae-Young glances up and nods, "sorry, I promise I'll try and get the payment in soon!"

The teacher nods.

Taewoo taps on Chae-Youngs shoulder causing her to twirl around. "Chae, I can pay for you?"

"It's okay and I thought you didn'twant to talk to me?"

Taewoo laughs. "I will forgive you if on the school trip you spend ALL your time with me..?!"

Chae-Young didn't really think about it and agreed. Heeseung had his eyes set on the pair, he didn't hear what they were saying but he knew it was something about the school trip.

-time skip- (Chae-Young took extra shifts to get money to be able to go on the trip. Chae-Young made sure to get Riki to stay at one of his friends house for the weekend).

The journey was five hours, Chae-Young was dragging her luggage to the under boot of the bus.

Chae-Young then hurried on the bus, Jangmi was in front of her. Chae-Young ignored her as she followed Jangmi into the school bus. Chae-Young spots both Heeseung and Taewoo, who were on opposite sides of the bus, waving and pointing at the saved seats next to them. Before Chae-Young could do anything Jangmi steals the seat next to Heeseung. Chae-Young's face drops and Heeseung looks at Jangmi weird.

"This seat was saved for-" Heeseung starts,

"Me?! Aww thanks babe!" Jangmi winks at him giving Chae-Young a dirty look.

Babe? Chae-Young thought. Her heart drops as she overthinks the situation. Taewoo is still waving at Jangmi, she fixes her posture and adjusts her backpack. She walks straight past Heeseung and Jangmi, Heeseung calls for her but Chae-Young walks along sitting next to Taewoo who greets her with a glowing smile.

Heeseung notices and was about to stand up when the bus started to move throwing him back into his seat.

[ two hours in ]

Taewoo is lying on Chae-Youngs shoulder, they left early in the morning so everyone was tired. Chae-Young allowed him too as she thought he would be uncomfortable resting against the dirty window. Chae-Young's phone suddenly lights up. She turns it over to see Heeseung has texted her. Chae-Young glances up but he's staring at his phone. She opens the text.

Heeseung : 'Looks like we both have someone on our shoulder!"

Chae-Young scoffs as she sees Jangmi close to Heeseung.

Heeseung : 'I just wish the person on my shoulder was you'

Chae-Young smiles. She looks up and sees Heeseung smiling at her.

Chae-Young breaks the eye contact and texts him.

Chae-Young : 'I'd like that :)'

Heeseung : typing...

Chae-Young gets sad when he stops typing and raises her body slightly to see what he was doing. Her face drops even more when she realises he's taking a picture of Jangmi sleeping on his shoulder.

She gets another text, it was a photo.. of Jangmi. But he had put a shrek filter on her face. Chae-Young laughs. Heeseung checks to see if she laughed and his face lit up when he saw her contagious smile.

[ arrived at the camp site ]

Everyone floods out of the bus, pushing to get their luggage. Once everyone got everything they all made their way down to where they would meet their camping instructor.

They all gather around as the instructors introduce themselves and explain what they have to do to start with.

"Hello everyone my name is Mr Jang and this is Miss Kim, we will be your instructors over the weekend. First off your teachers have assigned you into groups. This will be gender split and who you will be sleeping in the tents with."

"First off is, Jangmi, Seo-Hyun, Aera and Chae-Young" the teacher says.

Chae-Young almost chocks on her spit when she sees her name. Of course she's put with the people she hates. Heeseung and Taewoo look at Chae-Young concerned, knowing the situation. The teacher carries on calling out groups. "Byung-Ho, Dae-Hyun, Taewoo and Heeseung".

Jangmi, Seo-Hyun and Aera are chatting together while Chae-Young was setting up the beds for everyone. "Will you guys help?!" Chae-Young suddenly snaps. The girls look up laughing at her red sweaty face, Jangmi stand up and walks up to her the other two tracing behind. "Yah, do you want to die??" Jangmi hisses, shoving her shoulder. "Know your place" Aera spits. "Just because I used to be your bestfriend.. doesn't mean I have any sympathy for you" Seo-Hyun rolls her eyes as the three sit back down. Chae-Young takes a deep breath in and out, clenching her fist.

After Chae-Young had finished, the other three splash water on themselves to make it look like they had worked hard. They made their way out as the instructors were calling them over.

"We'll done everyone! I can see everyone is very hot and sweaty, so as a reward we will let you choose a group to do the first activity with."

Heeseung and Taewoo make their way through the crowd looking for Chae-Young, ignoring the people asking for them to be in their group. Chae-Young stands still as everyone slowly disperses. Jangmi finds Heeseung and drags him aside, at the same time Taewoo finds Chae-Young. Heeseung sees Taewoo gripping onto Chae-Young and jogs towards them. Jangmi follows close behind. Without a choice the four end up being a group.
