Chapter 31

I hurriedly put on my vintage button down over my wife beater tucking it into my cream tailored fit pants pairing with my adidas topanga white sneakers and my pearl bead, finally winter had passed and I was grateful. I hurried out of my room then came back in panting, I forgot to take my damn wallet. After getting the wallet I checked myself over in the mirror and on a second note decided to pack my hair up in a bun that's when I noticed I wasn't on earrings. I groaned as I began another manhunt of my earrings case. I finally found it under a bunch of books on my study table. I picked a hypoallergenic black stud earring and hurriedly put it on, I checked myself once again giving myself the same mental pep talk I had being chanting in my head for the past hour.

You guys are probably wondering what the hell is going on. Well let me fill you in, my life has been going great. From that quiet kid who wallowed in self-pity and had a lot of self-hate I had begun to see my worth and my self-esteem had increased significantly and I am finally happy all thanks to my best friend and my girlfriend and no longer stuck to a wheelchair. Yeah that's right Britt is now my girlfriend, she had asked me a month ago of course I said yes and that's what leads us this point I had finally agreed to meet her friends and since we had a day out today, we had agreed to meet up for dinner at a diner in town which I was running late for.

Earlier today I hanged out with Jose and his boyfriend, we had checked out literally every shops we saw, from arcades to random gift shops. I came back to change my simple fit to a more befitting outfit for the dinner that was scheduled for 7:00pm, it was already 6:20pm and it was 20mins drive if I took a taxi, I was nervous as fuck. I hurried out of the school gate and boarded the first taxi.

I called her after paying off the driver I really needed to calm my nerves before stepping into that diner, I don't even know if they were here.

"Hey Britt, I'm here already"

"That's great babe, we are here already, come in"

"Uhmm ...could you-"

She cut me off, "I'm coming"

"Woow you look hot" she said as she strutted to me placing a chaste kiss on my lips

"Thanks, you look really beautiful too" I said looking her over which caused her to blush red at my intense gaze, she is on a black leather mini skirt and a white crop top with yellow polka dots, her outfit was paired with a custom made the Simpson's air force one. Her makeup making her eyes darken in a very attractive and sexy way.

"You're nervous right?" she asked as she regained her composure

"I'm sorry, I'm just not used to this"

"We can schedule this for another time" she said as she caressed the side of my face lovingly.

"No no, I agreed to this so let's do this, I don't want to hide us, hold on let me get my nerves in check" I said as I nodded vigorously.

She nodded understandingly as she leaned for another kiss which I readily closed the gap, my nerves relaxing as our lips touching, I melted in the kiss but it was short-lived because she pulled away. I groaned as I pulled her back into me snaking my arm around her waist, kissing her deeply and passionately.

After some seconds she pulled back, "You don't want to keep my friends waiting do you?"

"Right. Yeah sorry I got distracted"

"Are you better now?" she said as she led me to the door

"Yeah much more better" I grinned as I opened the door

We went to the booth they were seated and all eyes was on us. She pulled me towards the reserved seats holding my hands comfortingly under the table.

"This is my girlfriend, Eurell. Eurell this is Alice, Ruby, Megan and the goof over there is Jace"
