Chapter 34

I brushed my hair before putting it in a man bun, I nodded in satisfaction looking myself over in the mirror. I was on a white dress shirt, black tailored pants with suspender, the arm of my shirt was folded up neatly and a few buttons of my shirt was left open revealing my layered necklaces. My outfit was paired with my black Doc Martens shoes, my silver wristwatch and earrings.

"You look hot" Jose nudged me as he stood beside me, I dressed up in his room because mine was occupied by Britt and her friends and all the chattering and noise was unbearable.

"You are not looking bad yourself, the ladies would basically be at your feet tonight"

He is on a black suit but not the regular fitted black suit. The pants and jacket were a bit baggy and he had one side of his black dress shirt tucked in and the other left out, paired with a loose tie and doc martens just like mine. His hair was in two strand twist that was packed up in a bun showing his taper and undercut and he wore one stud earring his left ear and a loop cross in his right. Overall his outfit gave him that bad boy looks and vibe, and I must he had a very good fashion sense.

He scrunched his nose at that, "Don't say that when my boyfriend is here"

"Yes Sir", I saluted laughing in the process

"Shouldn't we be on our way?"

I checked the time, we still had about 20 minutes plus I still had to pick Britt, "Yeah let's get going, but I want to stop by the spot to pick up some flowers for Britt"

"Being all romantic" he wiggled his eyebrows at me

"Shut up"

I knocked harder on the door before it was finally opened by Megan, she peeked from the door and looked us over.

"Hold on for some minutes lover boy" before I could get a word out the door was slammed back to our faces.

"Woow" Jose said astonished

I shrugged in response as I had nothing to say.

After waiting for what seemed like an hour but was only 25 minutes the door opened again, this time Britt came out. And heavens know she was a sight to behold, she is on a white and black strapless gown, and the white material hugged her upper body from her cleavage stopping at her waist before coming down as a black free and flowing gown with a slit from her mid thighs down. The outfit was paired with black heels and her usual straight black hair has been curled as they flowed and bounced down her shoulders and mid back.

I felt a nudge and I looked at Jose confuse

"You have been staring at her for about three minutes now, you are embarrassing me"

"Uhh?" I turned back to Britt as she looked at me with amusement

"You look really beautiful" I gave her the gardenia then placed a corsage and a gentle kiss on her hand.

"Thanks, you are looking really hot too" she blushed as she fixed my boutoniere

I smiled at that, "Shall we go? Or do you wanna wait for your friends?"

"We can leave, it will take them forever to dress up"

I nodded and took her hand as I led her to the exit of the dorm with my heart thumping in my chest for two reasons.

The auditorium was already crowded, people were littered everywhere some in groups and cliques while others stood idly with red solo cups. We waited for Jose boyfriend, I wonder what they had to do to smuggle him in since guest were not allowed. After about 15 minutes he showed up, he was dressed casual and aesthetic but he still fitted in, he was on a white tee with a chocolate brown short sleeved knitted vest over it, paired with beige cargo pants, Jordan air and fitted cap. We exchange pleasantries and headed in, heads turned as we walked although most of them were staring at Britt and I, probably wondering why the hell she was with me.
