An essay about Esther 6
Can darkness defeat light? We predominantly wonder why sometimes bad things happen to good people and why evil seems to win over goodness. At the time Haman plotted to kill a righteous man named; Mordecai, this thought common appear. As darkness hates the light, Haman hated Mordecai for being good. However, in spite of Haman; having his position and offering treasures for his plan to succeed, Mordecai's God still won because Hes still working behind the scene.
Most of the time, people are disrupted because of certain circumstances even though they are just fighting what is proven right. However, just because you see the obstacle, does not mean you are seeing the whole battlefield. Paul says: We walk by faith, not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7). When Mordecai did not bow his knee before Haman, he knows in himself that he is just doing the right thing and Haman is not honorable for it. Consequently, this scene leads him to be at the edge of the cliff because after that, Haman intended to kill Mordecai and all the Jews. People commonly react when they are in Mordecais shoe is as if they are not on the level ground. As if, all the good deeds and actions are all for nothing. However, God does not stop there for behind the scene He is working—He always is. You may see as if there is no one to assist you, but God is there on every step you take. He just sometimes let the darkness come first, so we may see how powerful HIS light is. In the passage of Esther, the bible says The king said, Who is in the court? Now Haman had just entered the outer court of the palace to speak to the king about impaling Mordecai on the pole he had set up for him. His attendants answered, Haman is standing in the court. Bring him in, the king ordered. Now, right at that moment, Haman is planning to tell the king how he will kill Mordecai and just like the Lord, HE said Bring him in. inasmuch as He knows that He will win this battle in spite of the devil attacks. He is the powerful I am. Therefore, when the attacker (Haman) came in, God joined the scene. Haman commenced it by answering the king question and like a naïve boy, he never thought that he will come inside the court with evil plans but ended up helping the king to award the righteous man—Mordecai. In similar way, God will turn every evil attack that is meant to get rid of you into something that will exalt you.
In conclusion, it is normal to feel betrayed, alone, and hurt when you are doing what is just. Your circumstances do not define God nor your feelings. Furthermore, you may feel like it is unfair but God is always working behind the scene and He has always got you. It is important to read His word and stay in His presence to make you be rest assured that whatever comes your way, it will always be for your own good.
