Chapter 7 Part 1: Misunderstanding

It was now the weekend and Shaun had just taken Frankie for a walk before heading out on the day long road trip with Jack, Matt, Tyler and Jess.

He had just arrived back home with Frankie and he let him off the leash and gave him a dog treat and then he texted Sydney who volunteered to watch over the place for today while he was out with Jack and their friends on the road trip.

Shaun: hey Syd, I'm about to head out on the road trip, I've already fed Frankie and walked him, all you'll need to do is keep him company, the spare key will be under the mat by the front door.

Sydney: okay Shaun, I'll be on my way.

Shaun: okay, thanks again Syd.

Sydney: anytime doodle.

Shaun then left the house and locked up after getting his skyline out of the garage and he put the spare key under the mat.

Shaun got in his skyline and he headed to a diner which was where he and his friends and brother were going to eat before they set out on the road trip for the day.

Shaun had arrived at the diner and he saw the cars that belonged to his brother and his friends and so he parked next to them and he got out of his skyline and locked it up and then he headed inside the diner.

He looked around and saw his friends sat at a booth and they saw him and waved him over.

Shaun sat down next to his friends and brother and they started talking to each other.

Shaun: hey guys.

Jack, Tyler, Jess and Matt: hey Shaun.

Shaun: hope you weren't waiting for long.

Jess: nah, we've only been here for about five minutes at most.

Shaun: oh good.

Jack: how was the drive here ?

Shaun: pretty good actually, traffic went by smoothly and there were no problems at all.

Tyler: same here, we all got lucky there.

Matt: so what are we all eating ?

They all decided on what to eat and then while they waited for their food to arrive, they all started talking about a bunch of things and one of those things was Shaun, Jess, Tyler and Matt reminisced about when they were all dreaming about having the cars that they now own.

Shaun: do you guys remember when we were just dreaming about owning those cars of ours out there ?

Tyler, Jess, Matt and Jack: yeah.

Matt: just out of curiosity, is there any other cars that you guys would have along with the ones you have ?

Jack: well I've always liked the idea of having a Nissan 240sx se.

Shaun: nice.

Jess: I'd like to have a Honda S2000

Tyler: I think I'd have a Toyota ae86 Corolla

Matt: I think that I'd have a Subaru BRZ.

Shaun: those are some damn good choices.

Jack: what about you brother ?

Shaun: hmm, probably either a Mitsubishi evo or a Nissan R34 skyline.

Their food that they ordered had eventually arrived and and they ate it while they talked about the route that they are going to be going on.

They eventually left the diner and got in their cars and headed out of the city and into the canyons in their cars.
During the drive through the valley, Shaun was thinking to himself about how he has most of the things in his life that he could possibly want and it brought a smile to his face as he drove through the valley with some of the most important people in his life.
