Narrator's POV
The huge continent of Minea is made up of the four main nations. Celeste is in the east, Gomez is in the north, Dante is in the west, and Reyes is in the south. These four large nations are situated between Santos, the holy region that serves as the center and equilibrium. The earth rang. Eleazar. is a large region that lies on the western and northern edges of the continent, Minea. The area is significantly closer to Dante, the nation's primary gem-producing region, and the mining capital, but the Gomez refused to acknowledge it as their property. The hidden egg that lies beneath it was what the youngest emperor of the north desired instead of the gems of the realm.
Emperor Caius Grey Laurier; the 27th ruler of Gomez, the nation with the most powerful military force. He is regarded as a psychopath and a tyrant. He murdered his parents and relatives. In order to gain more power and destroy the world, he sold himself to the devil, but he needs that egg in the realm of Eleazar. It was claimed that this egg is unlike the typical egg. It was an ancient dragon egg that won't hatch for another 100 centuries till next year. The northern emperor was not taken seriously. The king did execute those who tried to rebel against him, despite what they claimed—that it was simply an ancient fable. He like suspenseful and enigmatic things. The egg must be obtained before the dragon hatches in order for the emperor to control it and rule the world. The territorial dispute between the west country, Dante, and the north country, Gomez, marked the start of the war. Emperor Caius refused to engage with Dante and instead attempted to annex the area by instigating a rebellion and starting a war. On the other side, the Dante stood up for their land rights without hesitation. They are still attempting to negotiate quietly without resorting to force, and it might not turn violent. Santos, although being in the core of the fight, refused to accept and put an end to it since they were more focused in religious matters. The other countries are still discussing their allegiance. There are no guarantees as to when or how this war will end.
The first battle wave began, and the Gomez were the victors. The final set of soldiers marching was the army of King Caius as they prepared to return to their bases. They are moving along a ledge road when incoming blasts signal their impending danger. Everyone is in a frenzy, and some knights leave their horses to run away. While trying to flee, the emperor unintentionally slipped and fell into the river. He succeeds in getting his blade out, stabs the ground, and it instantly holds the king. One of his knights came across him and grabbed his hand, but the knight holding the emperor's hand released it just as the king was about to rise, causing him to fall into the river. After a day, the emperor's body, which was fortunate still alive, washed away beneath the Edessa mountains and subsequently discovered by princess Adel.
Caius POV
I got a warm feeling and heard some noise close by. My senses returned. I suddenly grabbed a girl's neck when I opened my eyes, even though it is a habit of mine to do so whenever someone approaches me in an apparent attempt to kill me. She has long, wavy blonde hair, and because of her petite neck, I could easily take it off.
"Who are you? Where am I?" he asked.
I examine the area. I'm in a small, run-down house with just the two of us. Although I can't determine if she has a companion, I am certain that nobody is outside.
"Wait...Pl-please...l-et... me... ggo! L-let...mee... explain..."
She is struggling from my grip. After a while, I released her. I need to gather information.
"Now, answer my question. I might give you a chance if you tell me the truth or you want to be a dead meat." When I threatened her, she acted like a terrified rat and that's a good thing. I can easily manipulate her.
"You were in your terrible condition when I found you along the river unconscious and you had a major wound in your stomach, so I carried you here to my house right away." She explained.
