Caius POV
“We're in a difficult spot, Your Highness,” Lucas exclaimed.Mikaela suggested, "Sir, it was all fraud. They place the burden upon you. We can't sit here and do nothing."
After the ogre’s rampage on the western border, three days have passed and they have now been identified. We are all occupied helping the disaster victims and giving them supplies and shelter, but now the Dante empire is accusing us of being responsible for the king's murder. The princess went gone on short notice, and it was reported that we may have kidnapped the royal princess. The board is still looking at the situation. The palace is now being run by Rupert. He allegedly became the princess's fiancé recently. What then transpired? What happened to Adel? I'm making every effort to be calm. I have to maintain my cool. It was not the right time for me to be caring for Adel and my own country at the same time.
"Should we just kill all of them?" Noah butt in.
"You're not helping at all Lucas." Mikaela said.
Because of what is happening, I am unable to go because I have full hands among all of my subordinates and my country is in a state of calamity. Not until everything was completed and everyone was secure. Where could Adel be right now as time runs out? Rupert has aware of this. I got head pain.
Raphael added, "We'll wait for Callisto to return because he has a good case to vindicate us.
Mikaela remarked, "I'm concerned about the princess. Where might she be? I feel she is suffering as a result of what happened to his father.”
I explained, "Looking for the princess is out of line. Our objective is to clear up our name as quickly as possible. We don't want another war to break out. We have to look for our aiding and working for the construction of the walls, houses, and everything needed by the victims.”
"We'll talk about it later when Callisto arrived. Everyone, dismiss."
Everyone quickly gets out of the meeting room except for Lucas.
"Cauis." He called. Hearing the tone of his voice, he quite not agrees with what I have said a while ago.
"You sure you don't want to save the princess?" He asked.
"She has her fiancé to look for her."
"You'll regret it you know."
"I won't regret it." After that, I left the room.
Adel’s POV
I was in the middle of an icy land it was cold but thanks to the coat that was made from the dragon's skin that Dinara gave me I feel warm. As I walk nowhere, I could feel my breathing starts to get hard. Wala na rin akong pagkaing dala pati ang dala kong tubig. I don't know if tama ba itong daanan na tinatahak ko. Mabuti na Lang at walang snow storm kundi mahihirapan Akong makapunta dito. My hands are clenching firmly to try to ignore the freezing cold that is causing it to tremble. Hinipan-hipan ko ito. Can I survive this? No, I need to survive this. I need to see him. He's the only way to help me. Snowflakes falling from the sky cause my eyelashes to grow thicker. I finally spot a hazy figure ahead after an hour of moving forward. I looked at it and saw the tower and the northern flag. This is it. I am finally happy. But that's where my nightmare begins—right when I was ready to be joyful. I hear horses and a carriage approaching suddenly. When I turned around, I could see my nation's flag flying overhead and a knight had already spotted me. I began to run as fast as I could kahit mabigat at masakit na ang mga paa ko at dahil na rin sa mga makakapal na nyebe. I finally made the decision to take off the coat and run for the kingdom's entrance when it became difficult for me to breathe. Please let me arrive on time; I'm almost there. By the time the knights rapidly seize me, it was 10 meters apart from the wall. Konti na lang sana maaabot ko na ang pintuan ng kaharian ng norte. The gates are closed and no one is outside except me and several knights that came looking for me."Nooo, let gooo of Mee!!!" I screamed. Tears streamed down my face.
"Cauiissss, helllpppp meee!!!!" I shouted as I could hoping that my voice will reach and echo enough to be heard behind the tall, hard walls of the northern kingdom.
Before I could protest further, someone cover my mouth and my vision went blank.
