Caius POV:
I was invited to a drink by Adel. She had just one cup of beer, yet she was already drunk. She began speaking aggressively and asking me irrational questions.“Sirr Greyy, wha ish yu job?” she asked. Despite how funny her face seemed at the moment, I refrained from laughing.
“A knight.” I said. I know she will not remember anything tomorrow.
“Ahh, knight, yesshhh. North, Northhh. So yu badd huh?”
“Definitely. I was going to die back then but you save the devil.”
“Shannaa di na lanngg kkiiyaa niiliitass. Kaaawaaayy kaa!” She punches me lightly in the chest.
“Ganyaann ba kaayyoo? Sobaanngg yabanhh taposhh shupladdo, taposshh arogantee…” she stops punching me and she paused for a while.
“Para shabihin ko sayoo, I save yu becushh I don’t layykk sommeeeonee suffering in front op me. I wash kind but yu treat me like a peshh. Yu badd!!” she pointed her fingers to me. She’s really an in idiot. She’s going to drink once more but I stop her.
“It’s enough. We’re going home.” I said.
“Wa? Noo-“before she could protest I suddenly lift her and carry her like a sack and we headed back to the house.
She immediately started throwing up on my sleeve as we got back. Oh, Crap! Tsk. She can't take being drunk, so why did she invite me to a drink? I carried her to the bed. She suddenly starts to cry. Such a crybaby.
“Fatherrr… nannyy pleassee doonn’tt leave me alone.” She grabs my hand and hold it tightly. What a nuisance. Before I leave, I sit next to her and wait for her to fall asleep. I leave a letter near the bed. I look at her for the last time. You’re lucky enough. It’s a shame for the devil cannot devour you. I hope you’ll forget everything.
“ngiinghhh!!!!” Philippe sounded.
“Sshh! You’ll wake her up.” I touch his head. Philippe is a black horse.
“Your majesty. She’s the princess. I thought you’ll going to take her with us.” Callisto appeared.
“We’re changing plans. Let’s go.” I rode the horse going to Leiberon.
Adel POV:
Ang sakit ng ulo ko! Konti lang naman ang nainom ko. I can’t remember what happened then. When I wake up, he's already gone. Napabuntong-hininga na lamang ako. He leaves a note next to the bed saying he will come back and that’s all it is. Hindi niya sinabi kung kailan. I can’t stop him kasi kailangan na niyang umuwi sa lugar niya at dahil magaling na ang mga sugat nito. Even though it was a relief that he was gone and my life will now be peaceful once more, why do I feel alone and ache for him? wishing he was still present. The expression on my face was disappointed. Hinawakan ko ang kumot. I can still feel his warmth under this blanket. Although he doesn't say much, I still recall the times we used to eat at the same table and converse happily while cursing and fighting like cat and dog. I truly delighted in doing these things with him. I still recall his stern demeanor and icy aura. He doesn't express much concern or gratitude, but he constantly comes to my aid and stands by me when I'm in need.
I quickly ran outside the house nagbabakasakaling maabutan ko siya but all I've seen of him is his memory—his broad shoulders and his authoritative presence kapag nakatalikod ito. Ah, right. Nakaalis na nga siya. Hindi man lang siya nagpaalam ng maayos.
I shivered as the wind blew abruptly. Ang lamig. I recall that he will often throw his jacket in my face rather than putting it on my shoulders when I'm cold. I laugh at the thought. He is arrogant, and stubborn, but I appreciate it when he is honest with me. I end up crying. Why am I this way? I gather my composure and wipe the tears from my face.
“I hope you return safely. I hope you’ll come back soon bago ako umalis sa lugar na ito.” I uttered before going back inside the house.
Sa huli, hindi ko man lang nasabi sa kanya na na-enjoy ko ang festival kasama siya.
…“This is me praying that this was the very first page, not where the story line ends. My thoughts will echo your name until I see you again. These are the words I held back as I was leaving too soon. I was enchanted to meet you.”- Enchanted by Taylor Swift
