As blood splattered on the ground, Kin looked in Monre's direction. Covered in blood, eyes lifeless, Monre's body laid their motionless. He was dead. Elvira killed him.

The sight of blood made a shiver run down his spine. He knelt on the ground, his heart was pounding, he was feeling a mix of different emotions. His eyes filled with tears which rolled down his flushed cheeks as the moments with Monre flashed in his mind.

Anger, sadness, anxiety and fear, he was feeling all these emotions at the same time. He looked towards Elvira, expecting to die soon.

Was she not human? He asked himself when he saw her, looking completely unaffected. Her expressions didn't give a hint of guilt, but contentment.

Now he could see it in her eyes, the hate she held for them. The hate which seems to have made her blind and made her unable to differentiate between right and wrong.

Elvira moved towards him, covered in that omnious blue light. Kin bowed down his head, ready to except what was coming his way.

But then a thought struck him, what about Monre's sacrifice? He died to protect him. Couldn't he do anything to avenge him?
No, he could. His mind answered him.

"Tell me the truth" said a commanding voice. He looked up, Elvira was staring right at him. Her eyes looked so dark, it was frightening.

She wanted to know about her brother's murderers. Maybe, he thought, if he told her the truth, she would leave him and Ekom in peace.

"It was Shim", he bagan to speak, "he didn't like your brother, Aden, right? He hated him because he was the son of Owide, the person everyone feared because of his powers."

Elvira had no idea whether he was telling the truth or not. She had no memories of her parents as they had left her when she was really young.

The most important question occupied her mind. Why did Shim hated our father?  More importantly, my father had powers? How is that even possible? What type of powers is he talking about?

But before searching the answers to these questions, she had to finish Kin. Even if she believed him that he did not murder her brother, he did murder her people, the innocent villagers, children and women alike. They had to be avenged and she was going to avenge them, not because Shim had told her to but because that's what her conscience told her was the right thing to do.

She glared Kin dead in the eyes, only for him to pull up a gun at her.
"It's loaded alright." He said with a smirk on his face.

He knew what he was doing, he was going to avenge Monre, by killing Elvira.

He didn't wish to waste anymore time speaking about the past and was about to pull the trigger and put Elvira to eternal sleep.

But he couldn't. Before he could pull the trigger, the gun was crushed, its pieces fell apart, it all happened in a blink of an eye.

Before Kin could even realise what happened, his body was crushed, except of his head. He was covered in blood. He puked blood before falling on the ground. Elvira had used her powers to kill him.

She had turned cold, she could realise that herself. She had changed, a lot.

Leaving their bodies on the ground, she moved towards her inn. On her way back it started raining , washing away all the blood splattered on her body.

She felt no guilt, no remorse and the only thing she was thinking about was Ekom, he needed to be punished as well and then, there was Shim, the only person, who will tell her all the truth.

There was a difference in his behaviour when he spoke of Aden and the villagers. She had noticed it too but had thought that the sudden turn of events had caused him to change so dramatically. She trusted Kin's words because they were his last and she had a gut feeling that they were true.

First, she needed to deal with Ekom, who would surely try to avenge his friends death and then, she would return to Ilsiome, to know the truth.

With this thoughts in her mind, she reached the inn.
