As Elvira took her first step inside the house, she realised that she was surrounded.
Elfred had well planned everything from the beginning. He had given a lot of thought to his plans and finally, it seemed to work.
He had appointed a large number of guards outside in order to scare away his target. But he had intentionally kept that gate look unguarded from the outside.
This made his task a lot easier because he had predicted that if his target, even after seeing the large number of guards appointed outside, dares to fight, she will choose the safest path to get inside the house.
There was no way that she could take on so many attackers and thus it was safe to assume that she will take the path he had opened for her. This will enable Elfred to know her next move because after entering the house, she will unknowingly follow Elfred's plan.
Elfred had appointed skilled people at the gate to deal with her. He wanted to make sure that when they face her, they eliminate her.
Elvira had put herself in great danger, she was unaware of the trap that Elfred had laid for her.
The moment she tried to rush her way into the mansion, she was attacked with bullets. But, she was able to dodge and stop the bullets. If it wasn't for her good instincts, she would have been dead.
She ran behind a pillar amidst all the shooting. She couldn't think of any way to get inside the mansion alive, let alone unharmed. She couldn't dodge all the bullets with her powers.
The situation called for using her skills apart from her powers and she figured out a way. Instead of controlling the bullets, she used her power to control a nearby table to use it as a shield.
She ran as fast as she could towards a closed door on the opposite side, shielding herself with the table.
She was able to knock out some of the attackers by hitting them with the bullets fired at her . On reaching the door, she tried to open it but to her dismay, it was locked. She needed to break the door to go inside.
A few attackers continued to shoot at her but she was unable to pinpoint their location. She had to deal with them first. She ran towards the open door shielding herself, she was taking this risk to pinpoint their location and it did work out.
When the attacker from the left shot the bullet she was able to pinpoint his position. He was hiding behind the pillar. She used the shot bullets against him and aimed for a headshot.
She was able to get him but diverting her attention towards him made her vulnerable to the attacker from the centre. It was too late when she finally noticed the bullet which by that time had hit her on the right arm.
It was a bad situation, she had to kill the attacker quickly as she could lose a lot of blood. But she still didn't know his position, which meant that she would have to take the risk, that is another bullet fired at her.
He didn't waste anytime though, his last shot made him confident that he could kill her so he shot another bullet.
Elvira was lucky this time around as she stopped the bullet before it got too close to her. She knew his position now, her bait to lure him into firing another bullet had worked. She turned the bullet towards him but before she accelerated it with her power, he had shot another bullet towards her. She got him, but had to pay dearly. Her right shoulder was hit, making it almost impossible for her to move her right arm. She squeezed her arm in pain.
She tore a piece of cloth from her dress and tied it around her arm to reduce the blood flowing out. She was running out of time. She knew that in her condition, she wouldn't be able to fight for a long time so she had to make it quick. She used her power to throw the table on the door but it didn't open. Finally, she had to use brute power to crush the door and get inside.
