The next day, Kin and Monre went looking for Elvira. They suspected that she would be in their shop, expecting them to come. They decided to go there and face her, after all they needed to know the reason for her attacks on them earlier.

When they reached there, they saw her, standing right in front of their shop, waiting for them, just like they had expected.

They mustered courage, they knew they were taking a risk and a big one.

Kin tried to move towards her but a hand on his shoulder stopped him. He turned around, it was Monre. It didn't take much time for Kin to figure out what he was thinking.

Monre was going to speak to her and this time he wanted to protect Kin from any injury.

He signalled him to hide behind a house. Kin followed his words, knowing he won't be able to stop Monre once he had set his mind.

After ensuring that Kin was safe, Monre slowly walked towards her.

Elvira turned around to look who was coming her way but couldn't keep her cool after seeing him.

Blue light wrapped around her body as soon as she saw him, ready to attack him. Monre stopped instantly and shouted,"I just want to talk. Please listen."

Elvira glared at Monre, observing each of his actions. Monre took another step towards her but she stopped him from moving any further.

Monre's palpitations increased as the blue light wrapped his body, she could crush him any moment, was he going to die?

"Don't come any closer." Elvira warned him before letting him go. She wanted to listen to him, to know why they killed her brother and the villagers.

Monre sighed in relief as the blue light around him disappeared. He knew that she didn't trust him so she wasn't taking any risks by letting him anywhere near her.

"What do you want from us, attacking us like that yesterday?" He asked.

A single word left Elvira's mouth "Revenge."

Monre looked shocked as if he didn't know what was going on there.

"Revenge? What for?"

Elvira was furious, it seemed to her that he was acting like he didn't know a thing about the happenings in Ilsiome.

"Don't act all innocent, people like you deserve to die. I'am just returning what you did to my life."

"You must've got the wrong end of the stick. I didn't do anything wrong. None of us did anything wrong to you."

"You won't get away with lying. I am from Ilsiome. Does that ring a bell?"

"Ilsiome..so you came to avenge someone we killed?" Monre asked in a calm tone. It seemed he was not afraid of her anymore.

"You murdered my people and I have come to avenge all of them."

Monre smirked and then started laughing.

"Murder your people? They deserved it.
Our hands wouldn't have been stained with blood, if it wasn't for them. I think, even you don't know your people as well as we do."

"What did they do to deserve that? They were all good people.."Elvira couldn't complete her statement when Kin suddenly appeared from behind Monre.

Elvira felt threatened, the two of them, acting so brave was beyond her comprehension. Was it all a bluff or did they have something in mind? What was it they were scheming?

Monre said, "They took our money and handed as fake materials, saying that they were antiques because we trusted them. Money is a serious matter for us but even greater is the trust we put on our customers. They broke our trust, as well as took our money. Do you expect us to keep quiet after that?"

Elvira had no clue about any of this. Mr. Shim never mentioned anything about taking loans from them. So, not just him, but all those rich people of the village did knew these three beforehand.

"Those children you murdered, they couldn't have taken money from you. You murdered innocent people and that is that. "

"Well.. the children were murdered to show those people the extent to which we can go if someone breaks our trust." Monre didn't feel guilty of doing those horrendous crimes. He had no guilt whatsoever and considered what he had done to be right.

"And what about my brother Aden, what did he do to deserve that? You killed him long before the incident. I believe he had nothing to do with your trust. " Elvira's voice got shaky as she spoke about Aden, her cheeks flustered, her heart felt heavy and tears formed in her red eyes.

"Aden? I don't know who is that?" Monre said, confused "But it seems he was someone important to you". Monre said with a smirk on his face.

"Wasn't he in Shim's restaurant?" Kin joined their conversation.
"Oh! That's right, that good boy." Monre remembered.

Before they could know, they were surrounded with blue light, like roaring flames.

Tears rolled down her red cheeks.
"You murdered the innocent. You deserve to die. We are done talking." She said and was about to crush them when Kin said something she could never imagine.
"It was Shim. The one who killed your brother" he shouted, horrified as death lurked around him. But as soon as he said it, blood splattered all over the ground.
