All three of them managed to escape but they were not in good condition. Ekom was still bleeding, they had to get him to the hospital and fast.

They went to the nearest hospital as fast as they could and admitted him there. He was still unconscious.

The doctors examined him, they suspected that his ribs may have taken damage and may have broken. They took quick action and started their procedures on him.

Kin and Monre waited outside, both were tensed. Kin's hand was still bleeding badly as the cuts were deep.

He asked a nurse to provide him first aid. The nurse helped him and treated his wounds. After receiving first aid, he went back to Monre, who was sitting on a chair in the corridor, looking worried and confused. Kin sat beside him but Monre didn't notice.

"Don't worry, he would be alright". Kin assured him.
Monre looked at him with tear filled eyes. Kin was shocked, he had never seen him like this before, never since he had known him. But this proved how much he cared for both of them. They were really good friends, it was obvious that he was worried for Ekom.

"What does she wants from us?" Monre asked.
"Who knows, but she didn't steal anything, it was not her intentions. I am sure of it." Kin said.

They both went silent, waiting to hear a positive news from the doctors working on Ekom.

Meanwhile, Elvira needed to tend to her wounds as well, she could not tail the three of them and now, since she had attacked them once, they will be careful. They may not come to their shop for the time being. She returned to the inn with a first aid kit. Though she was not hit in any vital spots, she was losing too much blood. She removed the pieces of glass which had cut deep in her skin.

It would take her some time to heal from her injuries which meant that she could not continue her fight for now. She treated her wounds in the best possible way she could.

The doctors who were treating Ekom, came out to talk to Kin and Monre. He had a serious look on his face, which gave the impression that he had a bad news for them.

Ekom and Monre stood up on seeing the doctor. Their hearts were racing to hear from him.

The doctor, in a low tone told the both of them about Ekom's condition. He was seriously injured and his ribs were broken but the doctor assured them that he would live. Monre and Kin couldn't stop crying. They were desperate to meet him. The doctor allowed them to meet him but asked them not to let him get excited.

Both of them entered Ekom's room, he was conscious but surely looked in a bad shape. Wrapped in bandages, Ekom looked in their direction as they entered. It was hard for Kin and Monre to hold back their tears after looking at him.

"You will get better in no time." Monre tried to cheer him up.
"Yeah, we just spoke to the doctor, it's nothing serious." Kin said.
Ekom couldn't reply and gave a faint smile.

They were lying, they knew it was serious. Since his ribs were broken, he would have a long recovery period, but they were lucky that he was alive.

Ekom turned his eyes to Kin's hands, wrapped in bandage. Kin noticed him and said, smiling, "It's alright, nothing to be worried about."

They made sure that Ekom doesn't get excited and so, avoided talking about the attack altogether.

They came out of his room after some time, leaving him alone to take some rest.

"We have to do something about her." Kin said, referring to Elvira, looking at Monre, who was in deep thoughts.
"We need to know, what was her motive behind doing all this." Monre replied.

They knew that with the power she held, she could kill them. They briefly discussed the possibilities of Elvira's motives and decided to look for her and negotiate with her. But since, chances were that she would not be willing to negotiate and may attack them, they decided not to tell anything about it to Ekom.

They spent the night in the hospital, making plans to look for Elvira the next morning.
