Elvira moved painfully towards the staircase, climbing up slowly.
Finally, after some time of struggling, she made it to the top floor. It was similar to the bottom floor, having two rooms at the end in each corner. She slightly opened the door near her. It had big closets and a double bed.
She went into the room and checked under the bed and the closets. There was no one. She locked the door behind her as she got out.
Ekom was most probably in the opposite room, unless Elfred had helped him escape and hid him in some other place. She moved slowly towards the opposite room, without making a sound. Her leg was hurting badly and her right arm was rendered useless.
She peeked inside through the keyhole. The room was lit by sunlight coming from the windows. There lied a silhouette of a person lying on a massive bed. She wasn't going to fall for the same trick again.
She opened the door and slowly entered the room, walking towards the silhoutte.
She didn't want to waste any of her efforts on some mannequin, so she glanced over the body to see the face. But this wasn't the old trick, it was Ekom. His hands folded around his body, under the covers. Elvira was set aback.
It's really him. Ekom. But why is he lying silently. Is he dead or is he upto something?
She quickly lifted her left hand to kill him, about to commit yet another murder. But Ekom had outsmarted her.
A bullet pierced right through her lower abdomed and she puked blood. She moved away from Ekom with her left hand pressed against the wound. She groaned and knelt on the ground.
Ekom got up with the gun in his hand.
"It hurts, doesn't it?" He said as he smirked. He had hid the gun under the covers and waited for the right moment for Elvira to get near and then, he fired the bullet from under the covers.
He slowly and painfully walked towards her, pointing the gun at her head, speaking of the gruesome deaths of Kin and Monre, about all her wrongdoings.
Elvira's vision blurred, she felt dizzy, unable to understand what he was babbling about. Her whole body shriveling as she watched him get closer and closer to her.
But her long fight was far from over. Surely, this was the worst fight among all that she had fought.
Ekom was a really dangerous man. But this didn't mean that she was not.Ekom stood with Elvira at his feet, pointing the gun over her head.
"You should be sorry" he said. Elvira strongly held the gun with her left hand and stared directly in his eyes.
Ekom smiled, "Still got some power left, have you?"
Elvira smiled back, crushing the gun with her power. She was weakened, the blue light surrounding her was dim.Ekom felt insulted, he kicked her in the abdomen, making her groan and fall on the ground, pressing her wound. He tried to fire bullets but the gun was rendered useless. He threw the gun and made a run for his bed.
This was her chance. She used her power to push him to an adjacent wall, just as she had done with Elfred, but the force wasn't strong enough this time around. He crashed on the wall and fell down.
He quickly got up and paced towards her, even more furious now. Elvira was shocked to see her effort fail.
He grabbed her neck and tried to strangle her while she struggled against his force.
She gathered all her power, insane amount of force that even she couldn't have imagined and thrusted him against the wall.
The force killed him in an instant. She got up panting while he lied their motionless. She moved towards his bedside table, looking for some bandages to cover up her wounds.
She found them and some medications too. She couldn't just walk out of the mansion now that she had killed Ekom. There were still those guards outside, probably waiting to kill her.
She wrapped her wounds after applying some medicine on them.
She slowly paced towards the window, moaning feebly and looked out. The guards had closed the entry point, probably after finding the bodies she left there.
She couldn't get out through the same spot without having to fight them which meant she had to find another way to get out alive.
