I'd walk over to Coke, rubbing her gently on the back once more.

"You'll be home soon.." I'd say.

Coke looked the other way. I sighed and walked over to an oxygen mixture tank. Coke seemed to notice and got scared, backing up in the bed.

"No, don't worry!" I'd say, picking up the tank and outing another hand out. "I'm just letting you get some sleep-"

Coke was scared. She didn't like any of this..

I walked over to the side of a bed and attached an oxygen mask to the tank. Slowly and gently, I placed it on Cokes face. Turning the knob to turn on the air, I saw Coke gaze at me in fear.

"Nothing's going to happen to you. I promise."

Coke then closed her eyes and soon fell asleep.

I sighed, turning down the air slightly and walking out of the room. The doctors here are corrupt. They test on their patients instead of helping them.

While walking down the hallway I ran into Sebastian. I called him Sebs, though.

"Oh, hey Copper!" He'd say, smiling.

"Hey Sebs! How've you been?" I'd ask.

"I still worry about Cokes safety, but other than that I think I'm alright." He'd respond, smile dropping.

"Don't worry, I've been taking care of her." I'd say, patting his head lightly.

"Thanks Copper! You're awesome."

I felt my face get warm, I could tell a slight blush was on my face. I'd turn around quickly and clear my throat.

"Ehem-"

Sebs laughed behind me. I did a little, too.

"So, ready to clock out?" Sebs asked.

"It's ten already?" I'd ask, looking around for a clock.

"I know right? Time went by so fast today." He'd say.

We both then started walking to the exit of the hospital. While on our way, we notified the front desk that Coke needed a new doctor as well as her room needing to be cleaned.

We walked outside. I'd inhale the cool, not so fresh air. It always smelt of smoke these days.

"Hey Copper, can you drive me home?" Sebastian asked.

I looked at him, slightly shocked, "uh, sure?"

We both walked into the parking lot and found my car. I unlocked it, both of us hopping in. I turned the keys to start the ignition and slowly backed out of the parking spot. As soon as I was out, I started the drive to Sebs house.

After a while we arrived at my house. Copper parked in the driveway, unlocking the car.

"Here we are!" He'd say.

"Why don't you come in?" I'd offer.

"Oh, sure! Why not." He'd respond, getting out of the car with me.

He locked the car and we both walked up to my front door. I'd grab the doorknob, turn it and push the door open. But it wasn't the house I arrived in, it was the hospital?

I looked around, walking a little further. I shrugged and turned back around, but the door had gone. I looked around with frantic eyes, trying to find it. It was gone.

I heard screaming coming from a room down the hall, it was Cokes. I ran over and shoved the door open, but I found I was back in my home. I'd breathe heavily, looking around.

"You ok Sebs?" Copper asked from behind me.

"Oh, yeah-" I'd say, looking around a moment more.

As Copper walked he shut the door, locking it. He turned around and seemed slightly awkward.

"So, what now?" He'd ask.

"Nothing much. I mean, we could watch TV?" I'd respond, "let's change first, though. I can lend you some clothes."

Copper seemed slightly embarrassed.

Once you enter the house, the living room would be to the left. The kitchen was further down. To the right was a wall with three doors. The first led to a bathroom, the second was my bedroom. The third door was the laundry room. It wasn't a big house, but I made do.

I changed into a baggy shirt and baggy shorts, Copper wore a slightly baggy shirt with shorts as well.

I walked over to the couch and leaned over it, falling over the back edge and landing on a soft cushion with my back. Copper walked around and sat next to me. I sat up and grabbed the remote from a coffee table directly in front of the couch. Grabbing the remote, my finger clicked the on button.

Once I turned on the TV, I was no longer in my house. I looked around. Once more, in Cokes room.

I slowly turned to look at the bed, and there she was. She has the oxygen mask on and seemed to be out cold, so I walked over.

Standing at the side of her bed, I stared at her, heart filled with pity. turning around, about to walk away, I heard a snapping noise. Something then grabbed my arm. I quickly looked back and saw Coke had broken the straps on her right wrist, her neck, and her torso. Her fingers felt like knives digging into my skin.

"Sebastian." She'd say, her voice slightly deeper and scratchier than normal.

I looked into her eyes and noticed they were filled with a black fluid. It streamed from her eyes, falling down her face and onto the bed.

I put my hand on hers as she gripped my arm harder.

"Don't worry Coke- you'll get better!" I'd say, trying to walk over to the other side of the bed.

She didn't let go. Her fingers starting digging deeper into my arm. I'd yelp slightly.

"Coke- please let go?" I'd ask, smiling slightly.

She'd look at me and thrusted forward, pulling my arm so we were face to face,"Let. Me. GO!" She'd scream.

I closed my eyes, grabbing her wrist tightly.

"Sebs! Wake up!"

I opened my eyes, gasping.

"Sebs are you ok? You turned on the TV and just stared at the remote. You started shaking for no reason-", Copper said, gently holding my wrist.

I looked up at him, my eyes started to fill with tears. Streams fell down my face as I lunged forward, pushing my face into his chest and grabbing his shoulders.

"Sebs-" he started.

I wailed, moving my arms around him, pushing the side of my face harder into his chest.

He sighed and started rubbing my head between the horns. As he pet my head, he moved his hand around my horn to play with my ears. They flicked when he touched them. A warm blush started running across my entire face, though tears were still streaming.

"Hey.. whatever's upsetting you, I bet it's ok.." Copper whispered, playing with my ears and hair.

I closed my eyes and slowed my breathing. Copper was warm and comforting...

I looked and saw Copper's sweet smile. He put his hands on my cheeks and pulled my head up to look at him more. He then leaned forward and touched his nose with mine. My tail started to wag slightly, and I think Copper noticed because he started playing with my ears again. He knew that is was a sensitive spot- but I trusted him so I didn't really mind all that much. Except for some things...

"You'll be safe as long as I'm here!" He'd whisper.

I then yawned. He stopped playing with my ears and I backed up, curling onto the couch. I heard Copper get off of the couch. Looking up slightly, I noticed he walked to another couch and grabbed a blanket from it.

"Go to bed, Sebs." He'd say, gently putting the thick, warm blanket over me.

I snuggled into, yawning and passing out cold.

Copper really is a great friend.
