Ruan Lisa had sent the flight number to Song Jungkook early that morning. Even if he didn't look at the text message she sent, she felt that she should still make an attempt to inform him.

After she and young Song Sungwoo exited the boarding area while holding hands, she saw Song Jungkook and his assistant. She was surprised that he would come to pick them up.

The chubby kid reacted faster than her. He rushed towards his dad like a mini cannonball and smashed into Song Jungkook's legs.

Song Jungkook immediately picked him up. He kissed his son's chubby cheek. His eyes were full of gentleness.

"Dad, I missed you!" The chubby kid hugged his dad's neck and nuzzled him.

If you were to talk about feelings, although Ruan Lisa had started to treat him well, she would still be below Song Jungkook if there was a ranked list of who Song Sungwoo liked the most. Afterall, the chubby kid spent a lot more time with his dad.

Ruan Lisa thought of something. The chubby kid had started nursery school last year, and the nursery school frequently hosted events that parents could attend. Thus, every time, he would go to his son's nursery school events by himself.

This family of three were rarely together.

After Song Jungkook had gotten enough of acting sickenly cute with his son, he finally looked at Ruan Lisa. However, his gaze was calm without any happy surprise. He perfunctorily said to Ruan Lisa, "Thanks for your hard work."

Normally, a married couple shouldn't be acting so unfamiliar with each other. However, whether it was the novel's Ruan Lisa or the transmigrated Ruan Lisa, neither of them would feel disappointed by his attitude.

On the drive to the hotel, Ruan Lisa chose to be a quiet backdrop. It was enough just listening to the chubby kid and his dad chatting away and saying they missed each other.

There was practically no further communication between Ruan Lisa and Song Jungkook after they got into the car. That's good. She closed her eyes to get some rest.

Almost half an hour later, the car stopped at the hotel's front entrance. Assistant Chen had already called the hotel's front desk and booked a room. As he handed the room's key card to Ruan Lisa, he tried to suppress his curiosity. Why were they sleeping in separate rooms? Why had Mrs. Song come to City A to see Mr. Song. And, she had brought their kid along too. It felt as if he had discovered something big.

Ruan Lisa wasn't surprised at all that Song Jungkook had arranged a separate room for her. She smiled as she thanked Assistant Chen.

This was perfect.

She wouldn't be happy if she had to share a room with Song Jungkook.

Even if she was his wife in name, the real truth was that they were strangers.

Of course, it was also obvious that Song Jungkook didn't like her and didn't want to see her.

The chubby kid felt very conflicted. He knew that his parents didn't sleep together at home. However, he wasn't old enough to realize his parents' sleeping arrangement was atypical for a married couple.
