Prologue

You only live once and live that life to the fullest. Life should never have what-ifs. Keep smiling and embrace the bad with the good. Never give up and always share the love. But she does not deserve this. She must pay for what she did. That is what Khushi Kumari Gupta is.

Khushi is a 23-year-old girl living in Delhi with her Sister and Elder Aunty. She lost her parents at the age of 10 and since then started living with her Uncle and Aunty. Gradually she became one of their own and started calling them mother and father. Khushi's father's elder sister, Madhu (a widower) lives in Delhi and took Payal and Khushi under her wings when both of them completed their college education.

Mr & Mrs. Gupta lives in Lakhnaw and owns a couple of Indian sweet shops. Since she was a kid, Khushi loved sweets. It does not matter what kind, as long as it is sweet. Everyone always makes fun of her saying Khushi has an extra sweet and bubbly personality due to her high addiction to sweets. But no one noticed the guilt behind her smile and the regret behind her talks.

Khushi is afraid of many things but speaking her mind off and standing up for injustice is not among them. She is afraid of the dark, speed driving, and last but not least a touch of the opposite sex.

She has seen a few of her friends physically abused by their respective partners and ever since, she avoided even talking to unknown men.

However, she is friendly in nature. She loves making sweets and even eating them by herself. She is strong and always tries to find good in something.

His stubborn, unforgiving, and passion for perfection nature has made him one of the youngest billionaires in the country at the age of 28 but at the same time, it had made him ruthless and arrogant. Never finds good in anyone other than his family and always keeps a distance from the opposite sex as he believes every girl is after money and would make him weak along the way.
