Chapter 20

Hi, This is the 20th Chapter in my book. I was initially planning on writing a short 10 parts story but I got so hooked up on the story and keep on writing chapter after chapter. Thank you so much for the love you have shown so far and I really hope you continue to love this story. Please enjoy.

"I can't believe it Bhai. The plan actually worked. That too without a single glitch. I was so sure Di would make a big issue about the quick wedding but her reaction was so not what we expected. And that Panjit Ji. He was one hell of an actor Bhai. How easily he acted as if he wasn't acting at all." Said Akash standing next to Arnav by the poolside.

"That's because he wasn't acting. Yes, I spoke to him before he left and he told me that whatever he said was the complete truth. So basically this wedding and the engagement are happening at an auspicious time"

"Really Bhai? I can't believe it. It's a like a movie you know. And also remember we were standing right here two weeks ago discussing my wedding. Never in my dreams, I thought we will be standing in the same place two weeks after discussing your wedding"

"Akash, I don't know why everyone is giving it more importance. I know before I did not want to get married but now I do. A person has to have the liberty to change something without the whole world pin-pointing him. And Especially you Akash. You don't get to mock me because you know the real reason behind this marriage"

"I am sorry Bhai. I very well understand the depth of the situation. But still, come on, if the roles were reversed you are telling me you won't be shocked?"

"Come on Akash, stop it ok. You know...." before he can continue they heard a knock behind them.

Both Akash and Arnav turned and saw Khushi standing there with two cups of coffee.

"Umm, sorry, I will come later." She was about to leave when Akash said, "No no, it's ok Khushi Ji. We were just time passing. Nothing important that cannot wait. Please you guys go ahead. Anyways, I will need to go and discuss our trip with Payal"

Saying that he bid good night to both Arnav and Khushi leaving the poolside.

"Akash, please close the door behind will you." Shouted Arnav giving Khushi another blush.

"Don't worry Bhai. I will even lock it outside if you want to"

These two brothers, never leave a chance of embarrassing her.

"Arnav Ji, what was the need for that? Huh? With might Jija Ji thinking? I only came here because you said you wanted to talk but here, you are making it hard. This is not right, you can't always make me blush like this. I am going to be your wife for god sake, not your personal makeup kit. This has to stop ARNAV. I mean it."

Khushi was so angry and she didn't realize what she was talking about. She wanted to give it back to Arnav for making her speechless for the entire day with his antics. Finally, when she did, she had no idea she made another mess.

Arnav literally fell in love with his name. The way she shouted his name was so cute. She was all red, she actually looked like Rudolph with her red nose and he loved this cute angry banter. If this is what her anger looks like, he was ready to face it every day.

"Can you repeat it?" Asked Arnav.

"What? Am I giving you a business lecture to repeat it? Stop making fun of me ok" said Khushi in anger. Who does he think is ordering her around?

"Not the whole thing Khushi, I meant the last part. Repeat it" Said Arnav in a calm voice.

"Has he gone mad or what? Here I was so angry and shouted at him, but instead of giving his famous how dare you to talk to me like that look, he is here all calm and composed and asking me to shout back. Something is wrong" Thought Khushi.
