Khushi walked into their room. She didn't know how to start the conversation or whether to start a conversation. She had no idea Arnav heard her monologue expressing her love.
Khushi has already decided on her punishment. She does not deserve Aranv's love. Her punishment is to live with this one-sided love forever.
She saw Arnav standing outside looking at the night sky. Since she could only see his back she didn't know his mode or what emotions he must be having. But to get slapped and accused by the person you loved and respect the most is not something a person can forget easily.
"Arnav Ji, are you ok?" She had to start from somewhere.
He turned around and there were tear in his eyes. If it was not for Khushi's declaration of her love, Arnav would never have let her see this side of him. But there is a limit a person can take. Arnav already lost someone he loved unconditionally and he was not ready to push the other most important person in his life too.
"Khushi I......"
"Shh, Arnav Ji, please don't say anything. I can understand"
"Khushi I am sorry, you had to listen to all these insults because of me. Believe me, my intention was clean. I only wanted to protect you and Di from that Animal"
"Arnav Ji, I know. In fact, I am glad you took that decision. I don't think I can ever imagine my life without anyone other than you"
Stop it Khushi, what are you saying? You were here to apologize and now you are making it harder. Don't be selfish Khushi, just apologize and leave.
But the heart wants what the heart wants. At this very moment, the only working element in her body was her heart. She wanted to hold him and tell him no matter what she will always be there for him, she wanted to wipe away those tears and hug him.
"Khushi, I, well. I don't know what to say. The only thing I know is your happiness matters to me more than anything."
Khushi was stunned, her brain didn't like where this conversation is going but her heart had the upper hand. Her heart wanted to know more.
"Arnav Ji, I am happy. You make me happy. You were always there for me. And what did I do, just because I heard one side of the story, I started blaming you. I can't believe I listened to that animal and blamed you"
"Shh Khushi, we don't have to talk about it. I don't know what happened to you before but let's not talk about it now"
"No Arnav Ji, we have to. I have to. Life has given me a second chance and I am not going to waste it. I am sorry Arnav Ji. I am so sorry. I heard Shyam talking and" Then she explained the whole situation.
"Thank you for all you did Arnav Ji. I gave you nothing but trouble but in return, you"
Tears she tried hard to keep inside started flooding.
"Khushi, it doesn't matter under what conditions our marriage happened. What matters is that you are my wife and I have a duty as your husband. So please don't thank me. What I did was nothing compared to what you had to go through to protect my family"
Arnav walked towards Khushi and held her looking into her eyes. Khushi saw all those emotions in his eyes. The respect, the care, the protection, possessiveness, and LOVE? Was it love? She knew what she saw, and a sudden urge to dig deep come through her. She wanted to confirm. This is their second chance and she is going to make sure she put it to the best use.
If there is the slightest chance of Love in this marriage she is ready to fight for it.
"Arnav Ji, you said my happiness matters to you. Why?"
