Chapter 35

It was the evening and Arnav, Khushi, Akash, Payal, and Anjali were sitting by the poolside. Khushi saw the tension between her sister and Anjali. Knowing her sister, Khushi decided not to interfere. Her sister has a different mindset when it comes to forgiving people. In a way, this is good. Anjali will have a chance to make an effort.

Khushi prayed that her sister would forgive Anjali sooner than later. After all, Anjali is pregnant and she shouldn't go through all this stress.

"I am glad Nani and Mami were in Mama's room when all these happened"

"Yes Bhai, otherwise they both would have taken this to another level" agreed Akash to what Arnav said.

"But, what are we going to do now Chote? Shyam is not picking up his phone and I have no idea where is he?"

As soon as Anjali finished her sentence her phone started ringing indicating Shyam is calling her.

"Di, Answer the phone but do not let him know about anything. Act as normal. We want him back at the house"

"Hello Shyam Ji, are you ok? Where did you go? I was so worried about you and your phone was off as well. Please tell me you are ok?"

Arnav and Akash might have thought their sister is a brilliant actress but Khushi and Payal knew that Anjali was genuinely worried. After all, Anjali loved Shyam for real.

But that worried Payal. Can Anjali be trusted? While Arnav, Khushi, and Akash were busy explaining everything to Anjali, Payal took a mental note to keep an eye on Anjali. Also promised herself that until she is satisfied that Anjali is not double-crossing them, she won't forgive her.

"Oh my love, please don't worry, I am fine. After all those allegations I couldn't stay there so I came to the office and spent the night there. I knew you must be worried but after all that, I hope you understand. My self-respect was at stake"

Shyam's cunning voice came from the other end of the line. He had an evil grin. He knew his wife loves him enough to forgive him for anything. A day without him will make her miss him and the rest is history.

Anjali who got weak after hearing Shyam's voice suddenly realized what she was doing. As soon as she heard his lie about spending the night in the office, everything that happened yesterday came right in front of her and her love and care were replaced by rage. Who does he think he is fooling?

Because of him she nearly lost her brother and her sister-in-law. His other brother and sister-in-law hardly make eye contact with her. Just because she trusted this lying piece of crap, her whole life turned upside down in one night.

"Oh, Shyam Ji. I've managed to make them understand that this all is a misunderstanding. They've agreed to let it go. Please come home. I need you"

Lied Anjali mentally cursing him.

"Don't worry my love, I will be home tonight. I love you so much"

Saying that Shyam disconnected the call. His plan is working. Anjali must have emotionally blackmailed the rest of the house. Arnav and Akash will do anything to make her tears go away. Even if it is to forgive her criminal husband.

He turned around and hugged the woman who was sleeping next to him.

"I am going home tonight. I won't be needing you anymore. Here's your money and leave."

At Raizada's house....

"Chote he will come home tonight, but how can I be in the same room as him."

"Anjali Di, why don't you sleep in the room next to ours?"
