Chapter 40

"Arnav Ji, please tell me where are we going?"

"Khushi, what part of the surprise you didn't understand?"

"But, I don't like surprises. I always managed to crack them before it hits"

"So this time wait till it hits. If you know it before, it's won't be a surprise it?"

"Please Arnav Ji. For me?"

"Not going to work with me Khushi. Go and show your puppy eyes to someone else"

Khushi finally gave up. Arnav is a hard nut to crack. He wasn't going to tell her so why waste the energy?

"That's my girl. Now enjoy the ride"

Arnav and Khushi left in the morning. It was a 5-hour drive from Raizada's house to the farmhouse. Arnav has planned to surprise Khushi with this trip. He took leave from work and asked Akash not to call him unless the company is sinking. He is going to spend every minute of this trip with Khushi.

"Arnav Ji, I am hungry. Shall we stop somewhere to eat something?"

"Khushi it has only been 2 hours since we started driving and we already had a heavy breakfast before we left"

"I know, but long drives make me hungry and if I am not fed on time I get grumpy"

"And what do you do when you are grumpy?"

"I start blabbering nonstop until I get food. if you have no issue listening to me until we reach the destination, keep driving"

He loved Khushi but when she starts talking nonstop it is torture. First, she has no meaningful thing to say, she'll just narrate movies to him. Second, they have almost 3 hours until they reach. Arnav was not ready to get tortured for 3 hours.

"Ok, what do you want to eat?"

"Stop at the next Dhaba you see"

"What? why not a restaurant?"

"Arnav Ji, have you ever tried a Dhaba? Sitting outside, eating food cooked in desi ghee, then masala chai to end with. That's heaven. You won't get that in your fancy restaurant. They'll give you a plate size of India, but the food on it is the size of Sri Lanka, and then charge you almost one month's salary of an average person"

Arnav had no choice but to take Khushi to a Dhaba. He was shocked by the amount of food she ate. She ate for 3 people. Once they were on the road after almost 2 hours later Khushi wanted to eat again.

This time they went to a cafe and she again stuffed herself. Arnav couldn't believe how much she ate. She ate like a pig but that does not reflect on her body at all. He has never seen her exercise or run or walks. Where does all this food go?

"Arnav Ji, if you are finished with your analysis can we go? It's almost dark now"

"Khushi, we were supposed to be there 2 hours earlier. But because of you and your tummy, now we are late. Let's go"

After almost an hour's drive, they reached their destination. "Where are we Arnav Ji?"

"Welcome to our farmhouse. The view is to die for but because of you, we'll have to wait till tomorrow to see the view"

Arnav parked the car and the watchman came running.

"Sir, as you asked I've done all the preparations. I've increased the security around the house but made sure no one will be in the house. The house is all yours sir"

"Thank you, Rishi. You can leave now. Khushi let's go in"

Khushi was mesmerized by the beauty of it. This is more like a palace.
