10. Does He Hate Me?

I put my phone down on the table we were sitting at. We were sitting in multiple tables in the food court. I guess I frowned or made a weird face because Momo said, "hey Todoroki, are you okay?"

"Oh yeah," I said.

"Come on, I know you," she smirked. "What's up? Is it your dad again? I swear I will beat the shit out of him."

"Same," Jiro said, who was sitting at the same table. Tokoyami was also there, he pretty much stayed silent though, but he did nod. I don't know how they convinced him to come but yeah.

"No, it's my brother kinda," I tilted my head a bit. "I don't know I feel left out of his life, I mean to be fair I did just meet him after years of not seeing him so...? I don't know maybe I'm being dramatic, but I just don't know how to connect with him?" I did better connecting to Hawks compared to him. "He just seems distant, but he could just be busy this weekend. I mean I've known him for what? 2 days?"

"Yeah I think you should just give it time, he could just be going through something that you don't know yet?" Momo reassured. She's very wise.

"Yeah you're right," I admitted. I'll give it time I'm sure I could also bond with Touya immediately just like Natsuo did, totally. "You guys wanna talk about something that's not.... depressing?"

"Mmm, not really," Tokoyami spoke for the first time. "I like this topic."

"Okay guys, Group Therapy! I'll go next!" Yaoyorozu exclaimed in excitement.

We did this for like an hour but we made half of it into jokes to make ourselves feel better. Some other people in the group that weren't sitting with us at the table joined as well. As we laughed at a trauma joke, I felt a vibration in my pocket.

I looked behind me quickly and saw Hawks. That asshole, that's so scary to send someone that. He wiggled his eyebrows weirdly. I shook my head and covered my face in embarrassment.

"Guys, I gotta go," I blushed in embarrassment. I mean yes, big flex, hanging around the #2 hero, but like I think he would say something embarrassing. Even though he hasn't known me for a long time, I feel like he would find a way.

"Alright see you tomorrow," Momo smiled.

"Byee Todoroki," everyone else said scattered around at different times.

I sighed slightly as I walked over to Hawks. Not that I don't like him, I mean it's way easier to talk to him compared to Touya. He's just really weird sometimes, it's actually kinda funny though. "Do you want some pretzel?" He asked holding out a baked pretzel.

"Nah, I'm good," I declined. He shrugged and started walking, which I followed to his side.

"How was your reunion 2.0?" He asked.

"Meh, it was kinda boring. I was like the third wheel," I bit my nails.

"Why?" He ripped off a peice of his pretzel and ate it.

"I didn't talk at all, I left and it was like I was never there, and I just..." I sighed. "I don't know."

"Well I mean to be fair, they probably just wanted to catch up," He claimed. "Touya does have a tendency to do that though..." he mumbled.

We walked in silence for a while. What if Touya actually doesn't like me? Like seriously what if he just doesn't like me. I feel like I've talked more to Hawks then I've talked to him. No, he's probably just... busy? I haven't been around him for too long so I could be wrong. I could be wrong, I could be so wrong. I could also be right, which is terrifying.

"Okay done, I can fly us the rest of the way now K?" Hawks said.

"I- prefer to walk," I sighed.

"Wait what- but it's like far away?" He argued. "It'll take like 20 minutes."

"Okay, that's fine," I stated.

"If you.. really want to?" He questioned.

"Yeah," I looked forward and kept walking.

Hawks' POV

"If you say so," I flew into the air. If he doesn't come back in 20 minutes I'm coming back to get him right away.

The good part is that I can go full speed. Which I did and got home in about a minute a little more. I opened the door which Touya came to me right away.

"Hey- wait where's Shoto?" He asked me.

"Oh he wanted to walk," I told him.

"And you let him?" He responded a little angrily.

"He wanted too. I wasn't gonna force him to go," I argued.

"You're so stupid, you should have just walked with him," he told me. "He doesn't know where he's going!"

"I'm sorry, do you want me to go back?" I asked him.

"No, it's fine Hawks I'll do it," he almost yelled. He went out the door and slammed the door.

I'm so stupid.
