"Hey Ryan?"

"Go to sleep Kayla."

"Okay." I muttered cuddling closer to his warm torso. Though I was completely and utterly as comfortable as I could be curled up to Ryan's toned body, I still couldn't get my mind to shut up.

I had dozed off while he was carrying me up to my room but, as soon as he started to leave I shot out of bed and dragged him into it with me.

"Hey Ryan?"

"What is it Kayla?" He grumbled, his chest vibrating as he spoke.

"You really are a prince aren't you?"

He started laughing and I frowned up at him, I was being completely serious. He is my pretty blonde prince.

"Stop laughing at me." I demanded, slapping him in the side.

He just wouldn't stop laughing.

I swung my leg over his waist and sat myself up on him taking his hands and pinning them up above his head to force him to give me his attention.

Okay. Maybe I was still a liiiittle bitty bit tipsy, which meant that I didn't truly think my decisions through before acting on them.

He immediately stopped laughing and looked up at me through hooded eyes. I unintentionally squirmed under his gaze causing a low groan to rumble through his body.

I slowly started to lean closer to his face, looking deep into his dark eyes, before leaving a soft kiss on his forehead.

"Kayla what are you-" I silenced him by softly meeting my lips with his.

The kiss was sweet and gentle, that is until I realized just how much I craved him.

After detaching our lips to breathe I moved my head into his neck, trailing a bold stipe with my tongue from the crook of his neck to his sharp jawline. I sucked harshly on the skin gently massaging it with my tongue before repeating the process multiple times, Ryan writhing beneath me.

"Kayla" he moaned out, grinding his hips upward and directly onto my core causing me to shudder and gasp at the abrupt contact.

Needing more friction I ground my hips harshly down against his hardened member. My dress hitched up on my hips and I felt the soft material of his sweatpants rubbing against my inner thigh.

I reconnected our lips whilst slowly gliding my hands under his cotton tee shirt and tracing his lower abdomen.

Ryan abruptly grabbed my wrists and flipped us over, his dark eyes boring into my own.

"Kayla we need to stop this."

While his words were somewhat still being processed through my foggy mind, an involuntary whimper left my lips at the sudden loss of contact.

"Kayla I don't want you to do something that you will regret in the morning." I immediately was going to protest but as soon as I attempted to speak he slapped his hand over my mouth, which effectively cut off my drunken whining.

"Kayla. I mean it. Trust me I don't want to stop either, but I would never take advantage of you when you are in this kind of state." He leaned forward and placed a soft kiss onto my forehead before rolling off of me and standing up off of the bed.

I snuggled into my pillow, and exhaustion unexpectedly washed over me.

"Hey Ryan?"

"Yes Kayla?"

I sighed and finally let out what I was constantly dreading, "Someday you'll figure it all out. You'll finally realize just how fucked up I am. And when you do, I swear you won't want me anymore. That, I can promise you." I muttered as a lone silent tear escaped my closed eye.

And as I drifted away to a dark place in my subconscious I could've sworn I heard an angel whisper,

"I'll never stop wanting you Kayla Adams, no matter what obstacles I may face."

****

"Kayla Adams!! Get that hot ass out of that bed right now of I swear to god I will drag you out."

"Go away Lucas." I grumbled curling further into my warm comforter.

"Kaayyyyyla we need to go shopping!! The winter formal is literally next weekend and you don't even have a dress! I am not letting you try and skip out this year either!" Lucas exclaimed dramatically whilst tugging at my arm.

I hate shopping, and when I say hate I mean that I would rather write a twenty page essay on photosynthesis then go to a mall. Lucas knows my feelings on this subject, yet every time he gets an excuse to shop he will drag me-literally- to the closest mall in town and force me to try on so many clothes that I could swim in a pile of them.

"Lucas I really don't think it's necessary-"

And before I could even finish my plea I was out of the bed and onto the floor.

I slowly lifted my face from my hardwood floor and turned towards my-soon to be dead- best friend with an expression that I'll leave to the imagination, and just as I was about to lunge at him he held a mug of coffee out to me.

Damn. He knew my weakness.

I warily accepted the coffee, all the while planning the perfect crime of murdering the idiot in front of me.

"There ya go sunshine, you truly can wake up before noon! I'm so proud of you. Now take these and get dressed, I'll be downstairs waiting." He demanded, throwing a pile of clothes in my direction before scurrying out the door.

That's right bitch. Run.

I trudged over to my bathroom slipping my dress from the party over my head as I did. I needed a hot shower ASAP.

Once I was showered and dressed in the leggings and oversized sweater that Lucas had picked I marched my way downstairs clutching my now empty coffee cup with all my might.

Turning into the kitchen I could hear laughter and music, and truthfully at that moment all I wanted to do was unplug the stereo and throw it out the window. My head was pounding and spinning at the same time and I wanted to curl up into a ball.

"Hey sleeping beauty how are ya feeling?" Justin teased holding out a glass of water and two aspirin towards me.

Have a ever mentioned what a saint my older brother was. This kid is my saving grace.

"Thank you so so much." I praised as I took my lifeline from his hand and chugged down the water and medicine.

"So I heard that there is a school dance coming up, when were you going to tell me, huh?" Justin pried narrowing his eyes at me.

"Um, well I was going to tell you but I guess it just... Slipped my mind?" He raised one eyebrow in disbelief and I let out a sigh before I replied.

"Okay okay, I didn't tell you because I know how you get about these kinda of things. You never would have let me skip it."

"Kayla, you have to enjoy high school! Youth is fleeting and you need to experience it in full!" Justin preached, as he always does when I don't want to attend something 'fun' related. I rolled my eyes at his dramatics before sending a glare in Lucas's direction.

Ten lectures later I was dragged to Lucas's car and on my way towards hell.
