"madam! You forgot your bag in the coat room" one of the servants called as Chuuya and Dazai were about to leave. Chuuya huffed and with his most ladylike voice said "oh thank you good sir, come on love, let's get our things" he then tugged at Dazai's arm (and heartstrings) and grabbed their stuff.
They made their way to where Francis's body layed limp in the bushes. Chuuya gave a quick laugh at how silly this whole night was and looked over at Dazai. "the ocean is farther than I expected, do we drive the body in the clean, freth limo Mori ordered or just walk the way?" Chuuya asked with a mischievous smirk.
"weeeelll, the limo is less suspicious, plus then we get to screw Mori over a bit. Let's go with the car"Dazai replied and at that, Chuuya nodded and touched Francis's leg to which he started floating. They made their way to their limo, tucked the body in the boot and made their way into the car, quickly telling the driver to head to the beach.

"what a beautiful night is it not? The moon is full and bright and the ocean is still and lovely!" Dazai preached stretching his arms to the side.
The beach they were at had a long pier that stretched a bit into the ocean. That's where they were now. The rest of the beach was just as you'd expect. Sand, rocks and more sand. Don't forget the water.
"yeah well, I'm the only one actually doing shit" Chuuya grumbled while bringing the body to the peirs edge. "you can just throw him in, with how deep in we are now, he'll just drift into the open ocean" Dazai said looking over the edge. "maybe I should join him, that would be a fun way to go out!" "yeah yeah" Chuuya grumbled throwing the (not so) great Fitzgerald over.
They watched as he sank a bit and drifted away slowly. "well now that that's done, you wanna go sit with me by the water?" Dazai asked with a small smile. "sure, what do I have to loose" Chuuya replied and turned to walk with Dazai back up the peir.

The sound of the ocean was Chuuya's favorite part about Yokohama. He always felt at home at the beach. The smell of the salty water, the feel of sand between his toes and the sound of the waves crashing over and over and over again. Right now, he was sitting on the sand with Dazai to his left, both staring out into the beautiful water.
"why do you like it here so much? I've seen you sneak off here so many times" Dazai asked out of nowhere, breaking the silence. "I'm not sure. I think it's...it's reassuring I guess. Life may not be consistent, but the waves. The waves will always be crashing. May it be big or small, it's the one consistent I have in my life, other than your bullshit of course" Chuuya answered not once looking away from the water.
"that's surprisingly beautiful. Coming from someone as stupid as you I mean" Dazai replied with a smile.
He's been doing that a lot. Smiling. He just lost his best friend like, what 5 days ago?
"Dazai?" Chuuya suddenly asked after a bit of silence. "mhm?" "how have you been doing? With all that's happened" he questioned softly looking over at Dazai who was looking right back at him, face neutral. "what do you mean?" Dazai asked clearly trying to avoid the question. "you know what I mean asshole. How are you?" Chuuya questioned again.
Dazai looked away and out into the ocean again. "he's gone now, I can't do anything about that." Dazai replied neutrally. "you don't seem to care all that much though" the other male added almost not understanding the words properly. "well, there's nothing I can do now. I failed him, when he went alone. I failed when I didn't know he was gonna do it in the first place and I failed when I found out and I couldn't even be there in time to help him. To make it worse I blamed and shunned you" his voice was low and neutral all up until that last word when it broke slightly.
There was silence until he added. "death doesn't discriminate between the saints and the sinners. It just takes and takes and takes. That's what makes this world so unbearable and gratuitous. No matter what you do, you die and no one will remember you" he ended and faced Chuuya. "but I'm happy for him because he got to leave this horrible existence for something more forgiving, more happy" he ended and kept his eyes on the red head in front of him who was still looking at him. There was a pause, just them looking at each other.
"Osamu, it's ok to say you miss him" was all Chuuya could say. Dazai visibly reacted to the use of his first name, his face faltered from his (until now) controlled expression to one of true sadness. Without much thinking, he reached forward and hugged the man in front of him burying his face in Chuuya's shoulder.
It took him a second to react, but Chuuya returned the hug, putting his arms around his partner and rubbing his back in slow sircles. He could feel a slight moisture on his shoulder but that wasn't an issue at the moment. They stayed like that for a while. Just listening to the sound of the ocean accompanied by the sound of their heartbeats and breathing.
Dazai then slowly left the embrace and rubbed his eyes looking away and then back at Chuuya. He spoke suddenly. Catching both of them off guard.
