Ouch.

Dazai moved his head, resting it on the back piece of the couch instead of its previous position on his shoulder. He groaned and opened his eyes, giving a quick glance around the room. It was still dark though the sky was turning purple meaning sunrise was soon. He then realized the weight on his lap and the fuzzy, soft feeling in his hand and looked down.

His eyes widened slightly at the sight of a red head layed asleep on his lap. He removed his hand from his hair and judged the situation for a second before placing his hand, not back entangled in his hair, but rather on Chuuya's back. He relaxed deeper into the couch still annoyed at the kink in his neck.

He looked back down at the other. He was laying on his stomach with his head resting on Dazai's lap facing him, Chuuya's arm was supporting his head in the process, meaning Dazai could see his relaxed face. It was still dimly lit in the room, but the door from the balcony was halping to illuminate the space slightly. With Dazai's good night-vision, he could just make out most of Chuuya's features, such as his small nose and soft hair that always fell so elegantly over his face. He could even make out some of his freckles.

Like always when Dazai saw him asleep, all he could think about was how peaceful and calm he looked. Dazai's hand, that had been resting on Chuuya's back, had somehow made its way up to his cheek, cupping it. He run his thumb gently over the others cheek and was surprised when Chuuya seemingly melted into the touch. Dazai felt his body slightly tense for a second and removed his hand slowly and placed it on his back again.

He knew they wouldn't be in this situation if they were sober, so they had to have been drinking quite a bit the night before, meaning Chuuya might be a bit of a problem in the morning. Chuuya already isn't a morning person and seeing as he likes to drink and apparently doesn't know his own limits, Dazai, being the amazing "roommate" that he is, normally helps him out. While also mocking him of course.

So he gently grabbed a pillow that was nearby and with his other hand, softly picked Chuuya's head up off his lap and slipped out from under him sliding the pillow under his head. Seeing as he was still fast asleep, Dazai would count this as another successful mission.

He moved to the kitchen to grab a glass of water and the Aspirin medication for the other man who was sure to wake up in about an hour. He placed the goods on the nearby coffee table and quietly made his way back to the kitchen. Normally, Chuuya would never, never let Dazai near the kitchen due to the fact that he'd most likely burn down the flat trying to simply cook an egg. Still he decided to try his luck and put bread in the toaster and committedly watched the appliance. It's just toast, he can't possibly mess it up.

Once the toast popped out of the toaster, he simply put butter on it along with some jam. Not that bad honestly.

Somehow it was too bright to think but still too dark to see anything and the headache was not making it easier by any means. Chuuya raised his hand to his face and rubbed at his eyes in an attempt to wake up faster. He then realized just where he was. "what the fuck..?" he grumbled under his breath. He was still laying on the couch.

He gave a quick glance around the space and noticed a glass of water and pill container on the coffee table. He realized the full extent of his throbbing headache and popped two of the pills and layed back down for a while.

Once he was more awake, he tried giving the apartment another once over only to this time see a familiar brunette standing on his balcony. With a lot of resistance, he stood up and made his way to the other, sliding the door open. "what the hell happened last night? And why was I on the couch?" he asked in an exhausted tone while closing the door again. "I'm not too sure Chibi. Also, you're up early!" "it's only like, seven thirty or something" he replied back, rubbing his eyes again. "still earlier than normal for you! Also, you look like shit"

"when are we discussing the mission plans with Mori?" Chuuya asked ignoring the mild insult for now, joining Dazai looking over the balcony and it's mediocre view. "oh no, he told me the basics of what we have to do. I assume he trusts us with this" Dazai explained turning to Chuuya. "well, at least as much as he can" he huffed. "I guess this isn't really important to him then, ay?" Chuuya asked looking back at the other. Dazai just nodded and continued to look out to the view.

Even if it was shitty, it had memories. The small apartment he stayed at 90% of the time just so he didn't have to deal with his actual "house" that he was supposed to live in. It was actually just a shipping container that layed near the port that Mori instructed Dazai live in so other members could live in the apartment he did. Even that apartment didn't feel like home, just another room he sat in and wollowed in self-loathing till he passed out due to Mel nutrition. At least Chuuya's apartment had constant entertainment (being able to annoy Chuuya) and someone to talk to (also Chuuya).

Chuuya could sense the things Dazai was thinking of and decided to let him be. Ha gave him one last glance and headed back inside to properly start the day.

Because today was gonna be a long one.
