When the turtles heard that april had a new pal who she thought could meet them, everyone was a little excited. When leo realized that it was the gal he had seen in albeardo's, he thought of one thing.
Disguise brooch.
Several places in the hidden city sold them if you looked in the right places, but for now he would have to settle for layering clothing. The hangout was planned on a colder night, so the turtle's overdressing wouldn't be so questionable.
"Okay, she should be here soon, everyone try not to blow your covers please." April begged. "Oh puh-lease, we're ninjas, it'll be perfectly fine." Leo smiled, almost vibrating with excitement.
They met up in a skate park, a quieter one less often frequented. Soon a h/c head of hair drew closer, backpack slung over her shoulder. Leo's brain flooded with pickup lines in some hope she would like something like him, and he masked his nervousness.
"Hi april, hi people I've never met." Y/n smiled as everyone introduced themselves, "fair warning, I've never skated before.." she chuckled. "You've never skated?" Leo gaped in disbelief.
"Come with me, you're learning tonight." Leo's gloved hand held out as an offer, and y/n took it. Soon the whole group was observing as y/n tried to balance on a skateboard.
Almost toppling, Leo's hands flew to her sides to hold her up, her own arms outstretched. "This feels like that scene from the titanic." April chuckled from the halfpipe. Y/n laughed and wobbled on the board. "Leo wanna recreate the titanic?" She mused. "Absolutely."
With the emotional music playing, the duo tried to recreate the emotional scenes of the movie, failing miserably much to everyone's amusement. The duo didn't mind, they were too busy laughing their asses off.
"That's all wrong, but you tried." Donnie snickered. He had perched next to april, everyone cackling at the failed recreation. "Well, I'd like to see you do better." Leo snapped back, releasing y/n for a moment to retaliate. The h/cette tensed as the board wobbled off with her.
"Weeee." Y/n let out as the skateboard went, and everyone watched the board go over a ramp, tossing her into the air, with flailing arms she just managed to land the jump. "Ayyy!" She grinned, looking at her newfound friend group.
"Sick, that was your first trick!" Mikey clapped. "I think I got it on film." With careful feet she dismounted the skateboard, and until dawn began to break, the group messed around on the concrete structures, some showing off more than others.
(Cough) leo (cough)
Even the silverfish in y/ns backpack enjoyed itself, everyone contented with the sound of eachothers laughter.
