With deep breaths, leo paced the alley outside tonis pizzaria. He had shot y/n a text to meet there and get some food before hitting up the local parade, and even though he was early he was anxious of being left alone.
He wasn't used to standing in crowds of humans without a disguise, but he could get used to not being hidden in the city he grew up in. A familiar girl appeared, scanning the street for her usually heavily clothed friend.
-you pov because yes-
When a hand snagged me into an alley, I almost jumped and released fluffy before the figure spoke. "Hey hey hey, easy." I recognized that voice.
"Leo? Hey its nice to actually see you." I joked. "Listen." He scoffs. "The skate park was cold okay?"
We went in and sat at the counter. Leo tousled his black hair and ordered a pizza for us both. "New haircut?" I mused. "You're messing with it alot." He tensed before smoothly replying. "You could say that, yeah." He responded.
"I think it looks nice." I smiled. His face went pink and he stammered before the waiter brought us food. We talked about skating, foods, our favorite shows, and more.
He was flabbergasted I didn't know about a series called 'jupiter jim' and we made plans to watch it sometime. 'For my sake' he claimed.
When the streets became active we set out in search of stuff to see, struggling to find a good spot to view the parade from. "Its so crowded.." I muttered, keeping my bag close so fluffy wouldn't scramble off to steal someone's food. "We'll go up then." Leo offered and led me into an alleyway. He found a fire escape and started up the ladder, while I hesitated.
"What's up, haven't scaled a building before?" Leo joked, going quiet when I shook my head no. "Here, come on I'll help." He offered a hand.
I took it, and we began to scale upwards. It grew quieter at the top and we steadied on the solid concrete. His hand still grasped mine as we gaped in awe at the view, lights twinkled as parade floats passed.
"This is incredible.." I breathed. "Thank you, for showing me this." I said, pulling leo into a hug. For a moment I thought I'd scared him, but his arms wove around me in a moment and I was held closely.
"Anytime."
Im pretty sure that hug lasted longer than most hugs, but we stood in comfy silence watching the parade trail onwards below. "How did you even learn to scale a building?" I muttered with a grin.
"Practice makes perfect." Leo smiled, "maybe I'll have to teach you." I scoffed. "No thanks I like solid ground."
As the parade gradually came to a close, we talked about our favorite displays and some of the weirder ones we saw. But it faded and we both had to go again, each with a home to pay our visit to.
"How about we go to the next jupiter jim showing at the theatre?" Leo asked.
"Id like that." I nodded. "The one down the street?"
"Mhm"
"Sorry I can't walk you home, but I'll see you then."
"See ya leo, goodnight."
"Goodnight."
