Valentine was taking longer than Victor had hoped. He didn't think much of it until he heard the crashing and huffing of fighting that he decided to care. He knew Valentine could hold his own, but something told him he'd have to intervene. He was still nursing a badly bruised up side but all rational thought was thrown out the window when it came to Valentine in danger.

He awkwardly limped to the creaky old door, trying to open it as quietly as possible.
It didn't take long for him to find his husband haphazardly fighting, and losing, to the green skinned drug addict Victor noted as an easy takedown. Clearly he was wrong, as the pixie that was presumed to not be a threat was now spinning around nunchucks and absolutely beating Valentine's ass.

"Wonderful," he sarcastically remarked as he creeped up behind Koko, hoping Valentine wouldn't ruin the element of surprise.

And just as Victor suspected, he did, Valentine's face lit with a sort of hope.

Koko's head spun around to see Victor. Her eyes filled with rage.

She whipped her nunchucks back, just over her shoulder, hitting Victor square in the face.

Victor stumbled back at the impact, he held his hand up to his nose, positive that the wetness he was feeling was blood.

He looked to his hand, now dripping with blood, then back to Koko.

He forced himself to step closer, despite knowing he'd be hit again. He grabbed the back of Koko's neck and violently pulled her back, bringing his other hand to her throat. He threw her onto the ground, hand still gripping her neck as she gasped for air.

She scratched and clawed his hand but he didn't budge. He wouldn't budge.

Koko kicked and squirmed until she couldn't anymore. Victor just kept squeezing until Koko was only twitching, he grinned widely, succumbing to the pleasure of someone else's suffering. He didn't care that his nose was still bleeding, or that his blood was getting onto Koko's face, leaving burns wherever it touched.

"Victor!" Valentine brought him back to reality, "we need her alive."

"You're right," Victor said, getting up and brushing himself off as if nothing had happened, "Get them inside for me dear, I have a prisoner to finish off."

Valentine nodded, picking up and throwing Koko over his shoulder.

When Koko opened her eyes she was tied to a chair. There was dried blood on her face, and blisters that formed underneath the sour smelling stains.

Across from her was Yuno, who was still passed out, but also tied to a chair.

Adjacent to her was Leilani and Mursai, in the exact same restraints.

Leilani had already awoken, her eyes bloodshot and her skin irritated from how she thrashed and tried to force her way out of the ropes just moments before Koko woke up.

Mursai and Yuno were both still grinning, as if they were dreaming of something tooth rotting-ly sweet.

"I think that dude has some sort of blood-borne disease," Koko said, almost disgusted, "you have any godly jurisdiction over healing?"

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you, and everyone else, about my heritage." Leilani ignored the question.

"It's not necessarily bad, I mean you wouldn't expect me to tell you about my heritage, so why should I expect the same from you?" Koko tipped her head back, staring at the exceedingly boring ceiling.

"That doesn't stop me from feeling bad," Leilani let out a small laugh, but not a happy one.

"I guess it's just weird, y'know? I grew up worshiping you, and now I'm your captain on a ship that a ton of people will shit their pants upon seeing, out of fear of course." Koko attempted a shrug but could barely move her shoulders.
