Magnolia

"Well, this is quite a tale you've told us here Eve," Master Makarov spoke out, as he rubbed his chin.

It was nighttime by the time we have reached the guildhall. After the destruction of the Airship, I had decided to take Elizabeth back to Magnolia since the town was closest from the location of the Village of Thorns. Elizabeth had been quiet the entire way and it made me worry for her. That man that had attacked us when we got out of the place was the in the front of my mind and it made me wonder exactly how did he managed to find us.

Master Makarov let out a soft hum as he was seated there. Elizabeth was beside me and the guildhall was mostly empty since everyone were at home since the working day was pretty much over. Only a few members were still there and Mirajane was walking toward us with some drinks and placed them on the table in front of us.

"Thanks Mira," I told her.

Elizabeth gave only a small smile.

"But this group you mentioned…the Brotherhood of Magic," Master Makarov spoke drawing my attention back toward him, "I know something about their notoriety. The Magic Council had labeled them as a cult that used human sacrifices."

Elizabeth looks up at him.

"A cult?" she whispered.

"Well, that was only what I have heard," Master Makarov said, ""The truth can get twisted quite easily from the many years since the Brotherhood disappeared from the public eyes. That object you mentioned that they stole from the Council…if it had that symbol you described on him, then it was probably from the Council's Vault."

"A Vault?"

"It's a place where the Council keep the magic and spells and objects that are deemed to be too dangerous for the common wizards," Master Makarov spoke out.

"It definitely was dangerous," I told the man, "If Elianna had murdered them to stop them from using it, she must have been really afraid of it."

"That man…attacked you because he believed you knew where that is?" Master Makarov asked, turning his gaze toward Elizabeth.

The young woman nodded.

"But that is impossible," she said, "I didn't even know about the Scepter until when we were down there….He made it seems that I knew where it was when I didn't even know it existed."

Before the Master could actually say anything else, the door of the guild were thrown open drawing our attention toward the direction of the entrance and I feel my heart jump lightly at the sight of the armored young woman approaching. Her red hair was flying behind her as she walked into the building and her eyes met mine and the smile upon her face.

"Erza?" Master Makarov said looking at her, a light confusion on his voice.

"Levy told me that you were here," the young woman said, "I heard about what happened. Are you okay?"

I gave her a smile.

"I'm fine Erza," I told her as the girl reached us.

"I think it's time you all retire for the night," Master Makarov spoke out, "I'm sure Miss Mable is quite exhausted with all that had happened today and a good night rest will do you well."

Elizabeth gave a light smile.

"I'm pretty tired," she said, standing up.

She then gave the man a light bow.
