Chapter 274 - Power and Sacrifice

As I was standing there looking up toward the black Dragon in the sky above me, the ground around me has started to glow. I turned my attention down toward it, confused for a few moments before realizing that it was the same magic Irene used before to create the strange land that was now part of Fiore and causing the building to switch places. The spell has been released thought seeing something like that made me turn my attention to sensing where Irene was.

She was still alive from what I can feel thought I hope that Mest will managed to finish the request I had given him so that I can finally focus all my attention upon Acnologia. Turning my gaze yet again toward the Black Dragon above me, I could feel the massive magic power that was pulsing through my body as the world around me was returning to its previous form and then all around me, the familiar city that I once called home returned to its former glory. I couldn't help the light grin growing upon my lips as I stare up at Acnologia, feeling power pursing through my body. The magic within me felt much different than the magic I had before. Sensing the Ethernano for many years I have come accustomed to how magic could feel like but this one that was within my body that caused the strange patterns upon my skin felt…purer for the lack of better word to describe it.

My body had changed from the power as strange tattoos similar to the ones that were upon Skylia had appeared upon my body. I threw the Alvarez coat I was wearing sideway, revealing the much lighter clothing upon my body. There was a light pain upon my back as two large blue wings grew from my shoulder blades causing me to wince lightly as it ripped through the shirt I was wearing.

Acnologia let out a powerful roar as he raised one of his hands before aiming it straight down toward where I was. I raised my own hand instantly summoning a Shield which blocked the attack that would have surely destroyed the city completely. I was surprised that I didn't feel any strain against his attack at all compared to previous time I had blocked powerful attack against my shields. With my wings summoned, I crouched down before taking a powerful jump upward, aiming straight toward Acnologia with surprising speed that I reached him in no time at all.

The Black Dragon let out another roar as he launched another blast straight at me. I instantly flew to the side to avoid it completely while at the same time I joined both of my hand together, forming two magic circles, one blue and one red as the power that I had gathered from the Beings of Magic. I launched the attack straight into Acnologia's form causing the Dragon to let out a roar of pain as he was pushed backward through the air as the great Dragon was send crashing toward the ocean that was outside of Magnolia.

I followed him, narrowing my eyes at not letting him get away at all this time. Acnologia turned his head toward me. He didn't look like he was injured from my attack just surprised completely at what I had done to him. The Great Dragon let out a powerful roar as multiple light appeared around him and launched them flying aiming straight at me. Raising my hand, I instantly raised my hand again summoning the shield I had before to block the attack completely yet again I could feel the entire world shaking around me as Magnolia suffered heavy damages from the onslaught of attack that Acnologia had launched after me.

Narrowing my eyes, I summoned out some magic circles.

"Swords of Kings," I yelled.

The numerous golden swords all launched down at Acnologia as he was completely covered within the attack which caused the water around him to blow outward as the dragon completely avoided my attacks. He was flying again, his roar echoing as I glared at him, with my wings dancing around me.
