Chapter 269 - The End of the long Night

The entire world was shifted from that moment.

I didn't know what had happened when the light had covered my line of sight, but I could feel a massive shift in the air. I could feel Irene's magic surging through the area completely and there was nothing more than field of magic. With my senses, it was like I was thrown into a violent tornado that caused my head to splitter with pain. Something like this happened to me once before when I was in the Tower of Heaven when it transformed into a large lacrima.

Back then, the pain was numbing and wasn't as powerful as it was now. It felt like my brain was going to get split into two with how painful that it was. I had fallen upon my knees both of my eyes closed at how powerful the feeling was. It was like needles was stabbing through my brain by the hundred and the pain was becoming even stronger. I stayed down on the ground for a moment longer, still feeling the magic that had caused the light diminishing. I slowly glanced upward toward my surrounding to find that the land had changed completely.

As were the land was a plain before filled with rolling grass thank to Irene's spell before but now, it was rocky. Large jagged rocks shoot out of the ground around me as I slowly pulled myself up to my feet, the pain that was in my head dissipating. I searched around myself to see exactly where I was but I didn't recognize anything of what had happened. Something was dripping out of my nose, causing me to raise a hand toward it rubbing the liquid from my face and stared down toward my fingers.

The red upon them made me realize that it was my nose who was bleeding. The pain had been that strong to cause me to bleed from my nose. I didn't really think that it really was that painful to me. Using my hand to wipe the blood off, I turned my attention back toward the strange formation of rocks that were around me before staring to walk forward, sensing the area around me trying to find exactly who was around me but I didn't sense much people at all.

Then a familiar building in the distance drew my attention.

"Wait…is that?" I spoke out loud staring at it in confusion.

Quickly, I made my way toward the building, wanting to confirm it really was I thought it would. I arrived in front of it, staring at the large building in front of me, completely taken aback by it's presence there. The land around me was quite unrecognizable after all, so for that building to be standing in front of me was completely unbelievable.

The Phantom Lord old guildhall, I thought staring at it, But this place was in Oak town...like right in the middle of the town but oddly enough, there is nothing around here that remotely look like Oak Town…

I turned my gaze toward the large rocks that were growing out of the ground.

Maybe if I fly up, I will get a better idea of what I am dealing with.

Summoning my wings, I flew upward straight toward the sky so that I could get a bird eye view on what exactly had been done and while I was floating in the air above, I can feel my eyes widening in shock at the sight of the numerous houses that were scattered around and there were even more landmark that shouldn't be around here like the Domus Flau in the distance something I knew was in Crocus the last time I remembered it.

The land has completely changed, I thought, staring at them from where I was floating, Irene did infuse the land with her magic and maybe this is some type of enchantment spell…but to change Fiore entirely like that…displacing everything from around itself…I guess she really is the Strongest woman in Alvarez.
