Chapter 210 - The Request

Chapter Cover: Team Natsu all playing around in the snow as Eve was seating on the stairs with a cup of hot chocolate in her hands.

It had been a few days since then and life at Fairy Tail continues on it's merry and gentle way. Weather had been good all throughout the week and Job Requests have been coming in like it was nobodies business. With Fairy Tail back at the top of the magic world since the Grand Magic Games, the request board had been completely filled up with so many flyers that most of the wizards that usually laze around the guild for a few days were gone for many days.

I was no exception and with many Monster Slaying quests popping up all over Fiore lately, I was kept out of the guildhall and out of Magnolia for many days. Not that I was against it, after all, I thrive on these type of requests but all in all, it was a good way to get quick money.

Which lead me to my current location as I was somewhere in the Eastern side of Fiore where a small Village had send out a request about some large monster pigs that attacked their crops. I was humming lightly to myself as my feathers were dancing around me for a few moments, as I was sensing the nearby areas for signs of the monsters that were attacking the village. I let out a small smirk when my sense picked up on something and I glanced toward the direction it came from.

"The Village Chief did say that they had some sort of a lair around here," I murmured to myself, "Seems that I am rather close by if I can sense so many of them."

I didn't have to wait for long, since a large pig like creature shoot out from the foliage of the forest. It was an impressive size, towering above me as it was covered in fur. It looked a lot like a minotaur rather than a pig but then again, I had found my target. They were about five of them in total from the looks of it and it seems that they were more on the way.

"Five monster for lil old me?" I smirked, excitement running through me, "Well you guys know how to make a girl feel welcome."

One of the monsters charged toward me and I dodged him by doing a back flip and then landing down upon the ground in a crouch, sliding backward a little, I looked up toward him as he let out another roar.

"You know I was just looking for some punching bag for my training," I smirked standing back up, not even bothering to draw out RuneSave, "Any volunteer?"

The monsters all launched toward me and I smirked, cracking my fingers which were in my fingerless gloves. A new purchase by the way since I have come across them a few days ago in a shop and they were black too. And it just feel really cool wearing them so I'm not going to judge. Anyway back to fight, I leaned backward avoiding one of the monsters that slashed at me all the while smirking at their pathetic attempts to reach me.

Then with blinding speed, I switched tactics going on all offense as I launched a kick straight into one of the monsters stomach sending him flying backward and crashing into a tree. I then turned toward the other one with a punch straight into its jaws pushing him backward and then with a sweeping kick I caused then creature to spent around like a top before falling down upon his back.

"Next," I said.

One of the monsters picked up a large boulder before launching it toward me and I smirked again, rolling away to the side to avoid it. Two of them came at me at the same time, their jaws wide open for the kill but I jumped, causing them to miss me and while I was in the air I tightened both of my hands into fist as a golden glow appeared around me and then like a bullet I launched down toward them taking both of them down at the same time.

Then I focused my attention on the last one as it was stepping backward a little. I had a smirk upon my face as I walked toward it.

"What's the matter?" I asked, "You're afraid of me?"
