I don't know how long I stood there, looking at the blood that was on my hand. It was still coated in Nova's blood as it was dripping down toward the ground in front of me. I was staring at it, the full realization of what had just happened settling in within my mind. With my bare hand, I just killed my own mother. I may want to justify it as much as I wanted to but the bottom line was that I just killed her...

I stared down toward Nova upon the ground as I lowered my hand. Then the pain that was upon my back caused me to fall down upon my knees and hissing in pain. My body was trembling lightly from the pain that it had gone through as I stared down at my hand, one which was bloody while the other was completely clean. I frowned lightly to myself at the contrast that was in front of me.

I then turned my gaze toward the sky noticing that the orange light of the sunset had been replaced by a dark sky that was filled with twinkling stars. Night had fallen and I didn't even notice it. Was I so lost after Nova's death that I couldn't even react to the change that was happening in time? Huffing lightly, I turned my attention toward my back and turned my gaze toward the gash that were there. There were still opening and I can sense the pain there growing through me.

With that pain...I don't think I'll be able to do much fighting.

I turned my gaze toward the destroyed part of Tartaros headquarter that was still around us and as I was staring, it made me wonder if my life would have been any different if I was raised by them from the start. Nova clearly didn't share any love for me at all because I decided that I wasn't going to become a puppet. I shook my head.

No need to worry about that now, I thought, I need to worry about how the others are doing and see if I can help in any way.

I chanced a glance at Nova's corpse across me for a few moments before standing up again, wincing as I did so. Huffing a little at the pain that was coming from my back, I started to make my way back toward the broken building of the Tartaros headquarters, moving slowly so that I don't feel pain surging toward my back at every step I took.

Then I came to a stop, a strange noise reaching my ears.

I turned my attention at the direction it came from, confused at what I was hearing. I could feel the earth shaking lightly from underneath my feet and the strange noise caused the air on the back of my neck to stand.

What...is that sound...It can't be the wind...

Using the Ethernano in the air, I threw my sense in the direction that it was coming from and focused all of the remaining of my power at that general direction for a few moments before I sensed what was approaching. It wasn't the wind at all, but I could feel a powerful magical energy approaching and quickly...too quickly to be a person...but that power was familiar...

Where did I sense it before...?

Then shock ran through me.

No...that power...it can't be...

I opened my eyes in shock at what I sensed that was approaching. But why was it coming here of all place? What could have drawn that monster's attention straight toward us?

The ground was starting to shake even more now and I had to lean against a piece of rock beside me so that I don't honestly fall over. I stayed standing there with a grimace of pain upon my face as I felt the menace that had almost killed all of us seven years ago approach us. I turned my gaze toward the general direction that he was coming from, feeling my hands shaking at the notion that this creature was coming here.

Damn it...this is not going to end well if he is getting involved, I thought.

The horizon in the distance suddenly light up with numerous explosion shaking the very earth beneath my feet and I was standing there, staring as it turned red by the flames of destruction that he was raging all over the land at his approach.
