It was the weekend and Eden had just fallen asleep around an hour ago. The time on her alarm clock read 12:42am and one of Queens records played as she didn't mean to fall asleep. She'd been reading a book she had for English class and began to slip into a slumber. Eddie was out for the night so it was just her at home, her uncle rarely ever being there due to working so much or spending his time at bars. A car zipped down the road, the boy driving being in a fit of rage, not thinking about what he was doing. He parked his car and sat there for a moment, deciding on if he should just turn around and go to wherever but he was exhausted and knew that was a terrible idea. With a sigh he shut off his car and got out, slamming the door behind him. He walked up to the door of the familiar trailer house and knocked. He waited for a second before knocking again, getting frustrated and about to turn around and just get in his car. What he was doing was stupid anyways.

"Billy?" A tired Eden emerged from the door wiping her eyes and squinting to make sure she was seeing things correctly.

"Oh, hey." Suddenly the adrenaline began to wear off and his eyes began to pool with tears. Stop being such a fucking pussy he thought.

Once she fully adjusted and woke up she took a second to study his face, a bruise on his cheekbone and some dried blood around his mouth. Her eyes widened as she realized he was trying to blink away tears and saw his breathing becoming more rapid.

"This is stupid I should just go. I don't even know why I came here." He scoffed as he began to turn around, becoming angry at his emotions.

"Billy wait-" Eden grabbed his arm, Billy flinching in return, "would you just come inside?" She spoke softly not wanting to freak the boy out.

"I don't even know why I'm here Eden. I'm just being a fucking pussy." He spat as tears began to roll down his cheeks, still turned away from her.

"Billy, what happened." She stepped out into the chilled October air, trying to get him to look at her.

"Nothing. Nothing I'm okay." Billy sobbed and covered his mouth, his dads previous words playing over and over in his head.

"Can we go inside? You can come inside, okay?" Eden began to panic as she never expected to see Billy like this. The two had hung out a few times over the week after he fixed her car, starting a small friendship.

"Okay, yeah." Billy nodded as he turned around and walked into the house, immediately heading toward the girls room.

Eden followed behind slowly, not wanting to invade the boys space as he obviously wasn't in a stable state at the moment. Once he was sat on her bed she closed the door quietly but still the click of the door shutting made Billy jump slightly. Multiple thoughts were running through Eden's head, she had no idea why Billy showed up on her door step at nearly one in the morning. Why had he been crying? Who gave him the bruises on his face? She didn't know what to say, and quite frankly neither did Billy. He just knew he'd be safe here. Suddenly a car came rolling in and parked in front of the house, Billy looked outside the window and sighed in relief as he realized it was just Eddie.

"Your brothers home. Is he going to care about me being here?" Billy looked at the girl.

"No. He's probably too stoned to care." Eden shook her head.

"You sure? I can go." Billy began to stand up before Eden gently pushed him back on the bed.

"You're fine Billy. I don't want you going anywhere right now." She crossed her arms.

"Oh yeah?" Billy smirked, grabbing her belt loops and pulling her close to him seeing as she didn't even change before passing out.

"Can you think without your dick for 2 seconds?" Eden giggled as she sat on the boys lap, gently rubbing his face. Suddenly she became serious, "what happened Billy?"

"I don't want to talk about it, okay?" His voice came out small and Eden nodded. She didn't want to scare him away and hoped he'd come to her about it eventually.

"What are you doing?" Billy asked as eden got off his lap and headed toward her closet.

"I'm uncomfortable and I'd like to be in pajamas right now. Seeing as it's one in the morning." She looked back and smiled at him, to which he nodded.

Eden plucked a AC/DC t-shirt out of her closet and motioned for Billy to turn around. She stripped of her prior clothing and pulled the shirt over her head, it falling just below her behind. She never wore pants to sleep but decided to change into some boy short underwear to hopefully help Billy's mind stay out of the gutter. She placed all her old clothing into her laundry basket and walked back over to her bed, sitting cross cross apple sauce. Billy finally looked at the girl and smirked when he realized she wasn't wearing pants.

"In your dreams, Hargrove. I told you I just want to be comfortable." Eden smiled as he huffed.

"That's not even fair. That's like telling a dog to stay while dangling a treat in their face." He pouted.

"Did you just compare yourself to a dog?" She laughed as the boy tried to explain what he meant.

"Would you just be quiet." He smiled as he tackled the girl and began to tickle her.

"B-Billy! Billy stop, I-I'm going to pee myself!" Eden shouted between laughs which made Billy laugh as well.

"Okay, okay fine." He let up on the girl, now hovering over her. As Eden's laughter died down she continued to smile at Billy, brushing some loose curls out of his face. She leaned up and pecked his lips before falling back onto the bed and biting her lip to contain her smile.

"Don't do that, princess." Billy groaned as he leaned back up trying to control his thoughts.

"I'm sorry, so.. are you needing a place to stay tonight?" She asked, sitting up herself.

"I mean, I can stay in my car." Billy shrugged.

"No. It's okay you can stay here." Eden shot him a soft smile.

"Okay, I can go sleep on the couch." Billy pointed at the door and Eden laughed.

"You can stay in here. I don't want Eddie to wake you up in the morning or in case my uncle comes home I'd rather him not see a random boy on his couch." She laughed as she began to pull her comforter back.

Billy stood up as she got under the covers. He took his keys and wallet out of his pocket, putting them on Eden's night stand. He also kicked off his boots and took off his shirt. He didn't really feel like sleeping in jeans so he kicked those off as well, leaving him in just his boxers. Eden began to yawn as he crawled in her bed beside her. The two talked for a while about absolute nonsense, Eden sometimes laughing loudly and Billy telling her to shut up through a smile. One thing led to another and somehow the two were in a light hearted make out session. Yeah they may have been friends but, friends can kiss right? Billy's hands were roaming Eden's body and she didn't mind. That is until he got to her lower torso and tried to hook a finger into her underwear. Eden swiftly grabbed his wrist and pulled away from the kiss.

"Billy, um. Im... I'm not experienced." She cringed as the words came out of her mouth. You couldn't just say "hey, I'm a virgin?" She thought.

Billy let out a small laugh, "okay, that's fine." He pecked her lips once more.

"You swear?" Eden looked away, not used to men being so okay with not getting anything.

"Yes, Eden. Believe it or not I could care less about getting in your pants." Billy brought her close to him, beginning to play with her hair. All Eden did was nod and not even 5 minutes later Billy heard soft snores coming from her. He smiled lightly before reaching over, careful not to wake Eden and turning off the light.
