"I love you."

The words played on repeat in Billy's mind. The words he had been longing to hear, from the only person the truly mattered. His body was still, except for one part still mindlessly twitching. Still panting from the recent intercourse. He had been pulled away from reality as the words settled into his mind.

"Billy.." a voice so angelic had pulled him back.

There in front of him was a girl who's face was filled with worry. She was breathing hard, but the only way to tell was by watching her chest heave up and down. Her lip was trapped in between her teeth as she anxiously chewed on it, her eyebrows furrowed and beautiful brown eyes staring back up into his own. There in front of him lay Eden Munson. His girlfriend, the girl he loved. Oh fuck.

"I'm sorry I-" he paused, a ginormous smile playing on his lips, "you have no idea how long I've been waiting to hear that. Eden, I love you too."

Eden let out a huge sigh of relief and smiled back up to the boy, "way to give a girl a heart attack."

"I'm sorry, I was just so out of it." He chucked as he removed himself from the girls warm body.

The next few minutes were spent freshening up in the bathroom and redressing. Billy had a small freak out as he realized he forgot to wear protection, but Eden assured him she took birth control and it would be okay. They found their way back to Billy's bedroom, his door now slightly ajar and giggles and laughs had filled the house.

"I'm so happy, Billy." Eden sighed as Billy pulled her closer in his arms.

"So am I, Eden. You make me so happy." He kissed the top of the girls head gently.

"I love you."

"I love you too."
___
A few weeks had passed and it was now the first of June. Eden still had yet to hear back from Berkeley, and was growing quite anxious at this point. Billy was doing his best to reassure her all would work out, and keeping her mind distracted with searching for jobs. Billy already landed a job working at Hawkins Community Pool, but Eden was struggling finding one for herself.

"I either work at Scoops Ahoy with Steve, or the arcade with Keith surrounded by gross prepubescent teenagers!" Eden groaned as she threw her hands up.

"Hey!" Max glared and Eden stuck out her tongue at her.

"Or you can come work at the pool with me, we're still hiring." Billy smirked, loving the idea of seeing his girlfriend in a bathing suit all day.

"Absolutely not. I'm sorry, but I can't show myself off like that every day." Eden sighed.

"I wouldn't mind it." The boy but his lip, looking the girl up and down.

"I'm literally right here." Max scoffed.

"You could not be right here." Billy shot his step sister a sarcastic smile, to which she rolled her eyes to.

"Wow you guys act like siblings. Oh wait- you are." Eden deadpanned.

"We're not siblings!" The two yelled in sync.

"Oh quit being cry babies." She giggled.
___
Later that night, Billy drove to Eden's trailer so the two could spend a night together. Now that the pair were graduated, and Billy was 18, his dad didn't care what he did just as long as it wasn't under his roof. So, they spent many nights at Eden's. Billy even had a collection of clothes piling up from staying over so often.

As they walked inside they realized the trailer was quiet. Well, as quiet as it got. Both Wayne and Eddie's vehicles were parked out front, so it wasn't like they weren't there. Eden almost thought they really weren't home, until she heard whispers from the kitchen. She furrowed her brows and walked closer, Billy staying in the center of the living room. She was greeted with smiles and an envelope in Wayne's hand.

"Your letter from Berkeley came in. We've been waiting on you to open it." Wayne stuck his hand out, and Eden happily snatched it almost immediately tearing into it.

"Oh god, what if I didn't get accepted?" She suddenly gasped as she paused, now nervous to open the letter.

"Well we're never going to fucking know if you just stand there holding it. Open the damn thing!" Eddie exclaimed, Billy finally joining the party.

"Oh hey son, how're you doin'?" Wayne asked, Billy's heart warming at the nickname.

"I'm good, and yourself?" Billy nodded.

"Shut the hell up. We can talk about how we're all doing after we find out if my sister made it into her dream college." Eddie snapped, narrowing his eyes at the two boys causing Eden to laugh.

"Okay.. here goes nothing I guess." She inhaled, holding her breath as she opened the piece of paper and skimmed the words.

Her heart began to race and she could almost jump for joy. Billy too read over the words that started Eden's letter of acceptance.

Dear Eden Munson,
Congratulations! You have received this letter to inform you regarding your acceptance to the University of California, Berkeley!

Billy immediately brung Eden into a hug and Eddie let out a shout of excitement. He soon joined the hug, almost knocking the couple over as he wrapped them in his arms and jumped for joy.

"I got in! I did it!" Eden's reaction was that of pure joy.

"Congratulations, kid." Wayne smiled at Eden, bringing her into a hug as soon as the younger boys let go of her.

"I told you you'd go places way further than me one day." Eddie gleamed at his little sister, truly proud of her success.
