The two teenagers entered Eden's room, Eden softly shutting the door behind them. Billy still had a melancholy expression stuck on his face and Eden sighed as she walked to the boy. His jaw kept clenching and unclenching, there were too many things on his mind at the moment. Between the fact that his bitchy step sister stole his car and she was nowhere to be found, and the date with the girl he'd grown to like was ruined, he felt defeated. Eden could tell something was on his mind, he wasn't very good at trying to hide it.

"What's going on in that big head of yours, Hargrove?" She asked, poking the side of his head.

"Nothing, sorry." He snapped out of his trance and looked at the girl, bringing his hand up to stroke her face gently.

"You sure?" She asked, putting her hand over his own.

"You look stellar tonight, you know?" He smirked, changing the topic.

Suddenly the phone began ringing and the voice of Eden's brother filled the living room. Both Billy and Eden heard footsteps head toward her room, so the two stepped away from each other. There was a knock at the door and Eden walked over to open it.

"Hey, some girl is- ohhh. I didn't realize your boy toy was over." Eddie smirked, leaning on Eden's door frame.

"Can it, Eddie. It's not like that." Eden spoke, a blush now covering her cheeks.

"It's not? I mean I assumed because he's over like every day after school and I've caught you sneaking him in-" Eddie smirked, being cut off.

"Stop it! Okay, it's not of your business. Now who is at the phone." Eden groaned.

"Oh, some girl. I think she said her name is Max, she wants to talk to you though." Eddie shrugged and Eden's eyes widened, immediately heading for the phone. Billy felt his face heat up in anger, following closely behind the girl.

"Hey, hey Max, are you there?" Eden spoke into the phone.

"Hey! Finally Jesus Christ. Um, we're over at Mikes I just know that earlier was weird and all-" Max began explaining into the phone.

"What is that little shit saying." Billy glared as he crossed his arms over his chest.

"Oh! Is that Billy? His car is fine Steve ended up waking up and driving, um. Can you tell him I'm sorry? It was just kind of urgent." Max asked.

"She said she's sorry, I guess it was urgent." Eden told Billy, to which he rolled his eyes.

"So you're at Mikes? Your mom and Neil are worried about you. Im going to come get you and bring you home, cool?"

"Yeah, yeah cool. Im sorry again, see you in a few." Max said before the girls bid their goodbyes and hung up, "Jesus these kids. Making me drive all the way across town."

Billy laughed at the girl mumbling profanities as he followed her to her room, "so I guess we've got to cut our night short?"

"Unfortunately. Your dad already... I'm sure Susan is worried." Eden sighed, "I'm just going to change and then we can go, yeah?"

"Yeah, take your time." Billy nodded, looking away.

Eden quickly changed into a band tee and some grey sweat pants. She grabbed her car keys from her night stand and threw on her converse. She quickly asked Billy if he was ready, to which he nodded and the two headed out. Eddie and her uncle were sitting on the couch, and Eden told them she'd be right back. Eden was very trustworthy so Wayne didn't mind, Eddie however was extremely protective and have her quite a long lecture, ending it at "use a condom". The teenagers got in Eden's car and the engine roared to life before she took off. Eden had to drive all the way from Kerley to Maple before she finally got to Nancy Wheelers house. Exhausted at this point seeing as it was 11pm. Max exited the house, as the party waved goodbye, making sure she got to the older teens safely due to the prior events that night.

"You're lucky I don't kill you." Billy spoke as he stepped out of Eden's car, Max throwing him his keys.

"I'm sorry." Max mumbled.

"You gonna get home safe?" Billy asked, leaning in the passenger window.

"Hmm? Oh, yeah." Eden yawned as she went to put her car in drive.

"Eden, stop. I don't want you driving right now." Billy sighed as he really took in how tired the girl was.

"Billy I'm fine. Seriously, don't sweat it." Eden waved him off.

"Hey out of the car, Eden. You can come back to mine." Billy reached in and took her keys out of the ignition.

"Hey! I don't even know if Nancy is cool with me keeping my car here and last I knew your dad wasn't very happy with you." Eden glared.

"I'm sure Wheeler doesn't care, and who said my dad has to know?" Billy smirked and Eden sighed, realizing she wasn't going to win this argument.

"Fine. Let me go ask Nance." Eden huffed before getting out of her car and running up to the Wheeler house, thankfully Nancy was seeing Steve out.

"Hey, Nance. Is it cool if I keep my car here over night? Billy's not letting me drive." She rolled her eyes and both Steve and Nancy laughed, looking at their exhausted friend.

"Yeah, you don't look like you need to be driving anyways." Nancy giggled.

"You're a life saver Nancy Wheeler. Oh, Steve I wouldn't leave till Billy and I head out." Eden suddenly turned to her beat up best friend, "you look rough. I'm sorry this happened to you."

"Eh, don't sweat it. I'll stay up here for your sake though. Be careful around Hargrove." Steve warned before pulling her into a hug.

"Always. I'll see you two later." Eden beamed at the two before running back down the drive to meet back with Billy, who was staring at Steve.

"What's Harrington doing here?" He mumbled, wrapping an arm around Eden's shoulders and guiding her to the passenger side of his car, never taking his eyes off Steve.

"He's Nancy's boyfriend and you kind of beat the shit out of him." Eden rolled her eyes before getting in the car.

"Neil and Susan do not figure out Eden is over, you hear me shit stick." Billy looked in the rear view before continuing, "you owe me."

"Whatever Billy. Let's go." Max crossed her arms over her chest, slouching in the back seat and they began the short drive from the Wheelers to the Hargrove household.

Billy and Max entered the house after Billy guided Eden to his window, telling her to climb through quietly, while he dealt with his dad and Susan. Billy semi-lied and said he found her at Mike Wheelers with a group of friends and claimed she forgot to tell him, to which she got scolded for. Billy also got scolded for taking so long to find the girl but in the end got thanked by Susan and told to go to bed by Neil. He walked to his room and opened and closed the door quickly, being sure to lock it just in case. There he found Eden laying on his bed, semi covered up and fast asleep. He smiled before getting out of his previous clothes to lay down himself, crawling in bed next to the girl. Finally, he kissed the girl on top of her head and wrapped an arm around her.

"Goodnight, doll."
